dpberr Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 He's a fit on the Colts. At a minimum, Mayfield could throw a 20-yard pass. Right now, that's an impossible task in Indianapolis with Matt Ryan. 3 Quote
muppy Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 WOW. Well lets just say the cream of the QB has risen to the TOP. And the Bills are so glad they chose whom they did and Not the consensus #1 QB in his class (senor mayfield) Wow is my true reaction to this news. Quote

billsbackto81 Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 #1 Overall pick. Now entering Jamarcus Russell territory. Thank you Cleveland, and NY for that matter. 1 Quote
freddyjj Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Colts? Texans? He would be a veteran arm with league experience. Believe he is from TX too so Houston makes sense. 1 Quote

I'm purdy sure that Baker doesn't have a good reputation as a teammate. So below average production and unlikable....not a good recipe for success. 1 Quote

There has to be some sort of weird back door handshake happening here. Between who? Every team in the league on the waiver wire? Texans should take a shot at him. He's a Texas boy, and from what I saw him give to the community in Cleveland, would probably do a lot to help heal the Texans image with the fans too. Quote
K D Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 At home with Baker Mayfield...no seriously 1 7 Quote

Royale with Cheese Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Jets need to sign Baker. Darnold needs to sign with the Browns in the offseason. Then they both played for the Jets, Browns and Panthers. 1 Quote

Baker may have requested it if they are going with Darnold the rest of the way. Gives him a chance to get with a team before the offseason 9 minutes ago, MiltonWaddams said: What kind of collusion is this?! There has to be some sort of weird back door handshake happening here. The Packers didn't release Rodgers. C'mon guys this is a backup 3rd stringer getting cut in week 14. If he wasnt a former number one pick this is barely news 4 Quote

Low Positive Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 It's crazy how far he has fallen since 2020. That year he led the Browns to the playoffs with 3,563 yards, 26 TDs and 8 INTs. Now he can't stick on the Carolina Panthers. 4 Quote

Why would the worst team in the league sign a QB for 2-3 games? He'll clear waivers and sign with SF. No one is claiming him. Because they need a QB and this is a great way to get him in the building and see where he is at, and if it works out, try to sign him to an extension before Free Agency. Even if he doesnt play much, at least the staff gets a look at him. 1 Quote
Greg S Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Have to think SF will be all over this. Maybe the Jets as well. Quote

Baker isn't elite but he isn't the worst either. I can't see a playoff caliber team pursuing him though as that's a major distraction that can't be good for a locker room this late in the season.
