I don't think the offense was all that different.

Josh could've easily been picked off 3+ times. Gabe Davis did a great job playing DB to break one up and the Patriots either dropped or couldn't quite make a play on the others.

The defense was excellent - by far their best game in a while

They certainly gained confidence in being able to have slow, long, time consuming drives.  I think this will be huge against Miami as it will certainly make them be more urgent when they have the ball.  That is going to force Tua to make some throws and perhaps take some shots that he doesn't want to take, which could lead to turnovers.  A typical Buffalo December day when the Dolphins come to town and the Bills ability to have long drives could make for a disastrous day for Miami

Major difference is White is back and we can cover long enough for our pass rush to chase QB's.  Defense looked like it can stop a team from throwing again.  I haven't felt that way in weeks.  I saw White out there a lot in the first half and Pats had nothing.  I'm not picking on Jackson here but second half 30 was where 27 was and started seeing more plays pop.  Edmunds is so big and active run or pass.  Having him is huge.  I suspected for some time that our pass rush wasn't getting home because QB's always had somewhere to throw the ball.  Now they don't and all of a sudden we are chasing QB's around the backfield.  Offense is perfecet in my book.  Speak softly and carry a big stick.  We run the ball, keep the clock running and let Josh make some throws.  We get in a dog fight or 2 minute drill then let Josh completely take over.

I know it's an unpopular/controversial opinion, but I do believe Josh Allen had been playing concussed since the Green Bay game and that he's finally cleared the cobwebs.

THANK YOU! I've been saying this to anyone who would listen since that game. His change in play - specifically decision-making - since he took that huge hit in the GB game was clear, and this was the first game since then where he looked more confident and capable.

Heard something interesting on one of the talking head shows this morning that since Josh got injured vs the jets, he's barely thrown in practice(when they had them) and didn't throw at all during pre-game warm ups until last nights game (so didn't do it against the Browns and lions).

If that is true, then the elbow was definitely more hurt than they were letting on.

If that was/is the case and it ever came out the Bills be in soooo much trouble!  Your at the top or near the top of the mountain so the punishment will NOT fit the crime..

IMO the Bills need either A. Get the O line healthy or B. Need do roll out with Allen. Last night he got hit HARD a lot. I know most here will just go “he is Allen he can take it” which is mostly true! But NO QB can stay healthy getting hit like that and so often.

You forgot C, which is run the ball effectively and negate the rush.

I agree with this.  And it is an opinion.

To bad some of us could not watch the game because we do not have Amazon Prime.  What is the NFL doing other than greed for us fans.

I didn't have Prime before the season and there was no way I was getting it just for Thurs games. So I miss most of the games, but not Bills. I say yes to the sports bar option. Probably spent more on the 2 games in the long run, but I don't care. Atmosphere, decent food and plenty of beer.

NFL network is replaying it at 3.  Going to DVR it and watch it (even though I was at the game :D)

Since you were at the game, can you tell us about the crowd?  i.e.  How were the Bills fans ?  Numbers?

Don't care one iota about the NE fair weather fans.

I was in the 300's but by the third quarter Gillette was probably 40 percent Bill's fans left and by the 4th you could here "Let's go Buffalo" ringing throughout the stadium.

Good Point!  The key is the Bills should do all they can to keep Allen healthy! Yes even at 70% he is better than most QBs.. it won’t be good enough against KC, Miami, or Cincy.

Impactful difference was 27 had 61 % of snaps, and 49 and 50 were back on field.

Exactly! And 27 shouldn't be playing 100% of the snaps after this mini bye

Edit - I meant should lol ..

What I think people don't realize with Edmunds is that in the attacking (vs the run anyways) defense we play that when you do get blocked up or a LB isn't perfect you get chunk runs sometimes.  Edmunds is great (so is Milano) and they make great plays most of the time but you will definitely have some snaps where they give up a chunk run.  That said they make some great negative plays against the run and on the flip side our pass defense doesn't work anywhere near as well without him.

The offense was different.  We had some new wrinkles and ran the ball down their throat.  That’s not more of the same.

That being said, our defense big-boyed a bad offense so nobody seems concerned that - yet again - we went multiple drives d**king around up two scores and the ability to end the game.

The kill shot came on the long drive, but it was the same garbage we saw against the Jets and Vikings that allowed them

back into a game we ended up losing.

Dumb penalties, poor execution, drops etc..

Not going to harp on it because we were just 10x better than the Pats, but the Bills stay being the only team that can slow down the Bills.

Well I failed out of neurology school and in my professional opinion….Allen wasn’t concussed.
