Italian Bills Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 In my opinion the major change i saw it was the composure, the calm, the balance and Josh’s look. Do they maybe finally found the confidence again ? It would be huge ! 11 2 Quote
rayray808 Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 (edited) the fact that we can grind out long drives and not rely on splash plays is HUGE for this team Edited December 2, 2022 by rayray808 13 6 1 Quote
jkeerie Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 I think being able to have regular practices helped tremendously. You cannot discount the value of being able to have complete, full practices, especially when installing game plans. 9 15 2 Quote
Coach Tuesday Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Focus more than confidence. They minded their fundamentals yesterday. Looked far more precise in just about everything including the playcalling. One thing I have to give McD major props for is his laser-focus on beating the Pats and the Chiefs the past few years. They really turn it up a notch in those games and it’s impressive. 9 5 Quote
PatsFanNH Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 IMO the Bills need either A. Get the O line healthy or B. Need do roll out with Allen. Last night he got hit HARD a lot. I know most here will just go “he is Allen he can take it” which is mostly true! But NO QB can stay healthy getting hit like that and so often. 3 4 1 Quote
plenzmd1 Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 (edited) Major difference was a week of practice with a healthy QB1. Impactful difference was 27 had 61 % of snaps, and 49 and 50 were back on field. Edited December 2, 2022 by plenzmd1 3 12 Quote
RochesterLifer Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 The major difference is very simple - no interceptions. Last night's TD pass to Gabe Davis shows us that Josh hasn't lost his daring confidence. We couldn't ask for a better sign. We went through a couple of games where his gunslinging didn't go our way. It's not more complicated than that. It's all good. Go Bills. 6 Quote

Brady’s made a career out of releasing the ball early. He hasn’t always had the best OLine. Josh will learn that skill, but unfortunately it may take a nasty hit for him to do it. Last night there multiple plays where he could’ve dumped it down to RB or TE. They were wide open. But so far, thank goodness, he’s getting away with it. 1 1 Quote
Gugny Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 I know it's an unpopular/controversial opinion, but I do believe Josh Allen had been playing concussed since the Green Bay game and that he's finally cleared the cobwebs. 4 2 3 1 Quote

N it sure on that, but I do think practice is kinda important. He had zero week of Week of Vikings, I don’t think the whole team had a full practice week of Browns, and at best 1 day as a team before Detroit. So that’s 1 full practice with QB1 before this week. That has to have an impact. 2 1 Quote

Yeah, I definitely agree with your reasons (practice and healthier defense); I just think Josh looked more "with it," last night than he has in the weeks since the Green Bay game. 2 Quote

JerseyBills Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Josh taking what the defense gives him was 1 and Cook/Motor was 2. Excellent play calling by Dorsey. That's a great defense, on the road, they desperately need a W to stay in playoff contention and we dominated t.o.p and just ran effective plays. Also getting Edmunds and White back were huge for the D 3 Quote

SCBills Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 They looked dominant and in control the whole game. Pats needed a wrinkle play to get a TD. Interesting that we came into the game looking to blitz. Pats expected that. We got beat. Then we were just like oh.. we can just get pressure with four = game over. On offense, Allen looked composed and the run game slowed down their pass rush. As usual, only we stopped ourselves. Up 10 and then like the Jets/Vikings games, went multiple drives begging the opponent to get back into the game. Sweeney holding, Quessenberry smoked for a fumble and Diggs drop on next drive. This is the difference between rolling the Titans and losing the Jets/Vikings games. Luckily our defense dominated and it never tightened up, allowing the O to finally get the kill shot drive. 3 2 Quote
