Die Hard is not a Christmas movie.  It has become a tradition at Christmas, but a movie must be Christmas themed in some way to be a Christmas movie.

Quite a few actors from the main cast are gone.

 

Alan Rickman - Hans passed in 2016

Paul Gleason - Police Chief Dewayne T Robinson passed in 2006

James Shigeta - Takagi passed in 2014

Alexander Godunov - Karl passed in 1995. This was surprising as he wasn't that old in 1988.

Clarence Gilyard - Theo passed now in 2022

in DH…she works inLA him in ny, he travels to LA for corporate holiday party

 

in DH2 he is in DC for in-laws for holidays. She’s flying into Dulles airport.
