Da webster guy Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 I remember that play. Smoke had a lot of underneath stuff too, 3rd down grabs, tough catches, he's a baller for sure. If he has stayed in shape he can make an impact. Too bad we lost hodgins off the PS, this would have been his time to start building his 1st real season with us. 3 Quote

For those keeping track, Hodgins has had 12 catches on 15 targets, for 142 yards, in his 3 games as a Giant. No td's. Quote

No td's. He had a 30+ yard TD called back against the Cowpokes for an illegal man downfield. I thought it was a weak call as the lineman was 3-4 yards past the LoS and his positioning had absolutely no bearing on the play. Refs gonna ref. Quote

starrymessenger Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I think that was the play where he completely turned Gilmore around with a great move. 1 Quote
TheBrownBear Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I love that a wide open 52 yard touchdown is labeled "incredible 75 yard touchdown catch!" Quote

He also had a huge fumble against the Lions in the 4th quarter, down 12, as Giants were mounting a comeback. Hodgins turned the ball over to the Lions at the Giants' own 30 yard line, and instead of a comeback, prompted the Lions to score again quickly and put the nail in the coffin. 1 Quote
