LABILLBACKER Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I think he gets paid extra for every time he says Jim. Quote
Brian Higgins hair Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 I like Romo. Absolutely no issues here. You guys who criticize Romo, should have heard Dan Dierdorf and Bob Trumpy… 2 1 3 Quote

But I agree, he seems lazy now, and is just using a bunch of cliches. It doesn't seem like the prep is there anymore. His penchent for babbling on during a play drives me nuts. Nance's job is the play by play. Get prepared and shut up are two things he needs to work on immediately 1 1 Quote

nucci Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Wonder what happened with Romo. He was great starting out, calling plays before they happened, explaining defense formations and what the QB is looking at. He changed. Quote
Behindenemylines Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 I just can’t stand him - from the beginning. I did t want to know what was happening all the time kind of took the fun out of it. plus as said so many times he just doesn’t shut up-total nonsense most of the time 1 Quote
Senth Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 We need Curt Gowdy or John Madden type hell even sleepy Pat Summerall where all real announcers? The days are behind us on those type guys. Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 No one watches games for the announcers. They’re just like the refs, but with no impact. The least we hear or see them the better. Networks have way too much money is what I take away from these monster contracts. 2 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 I don't know... I guess we're all supposed to not like Romo now but I think the reason we (Bills fans) don't is simple: Romo plays up the emotional parts of a game, and that "OH NO JIM!" or "this could be it right here...." while we're watching our season circle the drain makes us angry at Romo, even though he's just playing up the drama. Before the Bills were really good it was just fun to listen to him draw out another fanbase's misery. Also, every fanbase seems convinced that he is rooting for the other team's QB during the game. I like his work, because he is something different. 1 Quote
