Buddo Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 For anyone who doesn't think that was a special throw and catch, watch McDermott in the Locker Room, giving Allen and Diggs, game balls pretty much for that one play. There isn't anyone playing in the NFL today, who would have made that throw. Without the velocity that Allen can put on the football, that simply doesn't get there in time. 45 to 50 yards, and it still hit Diggs hard. I'm with Beast on this one, I think only Elway and Favre had enough juice to make it, out of the QBs I've been able to watch, and tbh, I think the only one of them who would have gone for it, was Favre. 4 1 Quote

That was a AAAA rip; Arm, Accuracy, Anticipation, Arrogance I didn't have sound but apparently Romo said that only about 5 guys in the history of the NFL could make that throw. Who are they? John Elway Aaron Rodgers Dan Marino Steve Young maybe Michael Vick? Best throw I can remember considering how small the window was and the circumstances. Amazing 2 Quote
Bigvinny Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 I thought it was kind of amazing that Diggs made that play and immediately jumped up to call time out. 1 2 1 1 Quote
Dr.Sack Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 Mahomes doesn’t rip the ball like that. He’s got better placement and trickery but never has thrown a ball like that. 2 4 Quote
Since1981 Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 (edited) That throw and his elbow probably hurts like hell. Scoot bye and win these and get healthier … not sure what criteria is for “MVP” but Bills are dead without 17, even a lame throwing arm Edited November 25, 2022 by Since1981 2 Quote
Joe Ferguson Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 Dan Fouts, Dan Marino and Joe Montana can make that throw. 1 Quote

The most amazing part to me was that Josh didn’t fall over and do his tumbling routine at the end. He lost some points from the Russian judges due to the lack of difficulty. 1 Quote

Fouts threw long but was schemed open, and Montana was more precision. Very few NFL players could DREAM of making some of the plays Josh makes while he makes them look almost routine. 1 1 1 Quote

EmotionallyUnstable Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 I don’t give a ***** who else in the NFL or history of the league could have, or can, make a throw of this caliber. I only care about the fact that our guy did, and it was a thing of beauty. 1 1 Quote

Since1981 Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 (edited) Yes. Two JA17 runs to right after Diggs catch. 11 guys Lions D know (should) a 17 run(s) coming but couldn’t do anything about it. Edited November 25, 2022 by Since1981 1 Quote
