My goodness… i never thought this game could ever be so close, really.

At some point i really thought it was over..  very happy i was wrong.

Anyway there are few points i wish to discuss with you.

1st: don’t you think that Josh’s elbow isn’t ok ? Dunno but to me the ball doesn’t look so clean, on spot and fast. But i could very be wrong, you are the experts here, so tell me.
2nd: it seems the run game it’s working better lately, do you agree ?
3rd: what you think about Dorsey and Frazier ? The first look too predictable, while the second too passive. We lack of creativity on O and on D we aren’t hyper aggressive

4th: injuries keep on mounting, i’m having enough of that. Will we be ever be full healthy again ? At full strengths ? With al the team healthy we can beat everybody.
5th: why many many fans here, during the games, when the team is playing poorly and maybe behind, make fun of the team and not supporting the guys instead ?

I always read things like THIS TEAM IS GARBAGE, IS A JOKE, THIS PLAYER OR THAT PLAYER SUCKS, FIRE EVERYONE, MCD DUMBASS, SEASON OVER, STILL TALKING PLAYOFFS ? ………  etc, etc, etc.
Are those fans the same fans that during the week come here posting how great we are… that refs always try to kill us… that Josh is the new Montana… etc etc etc ?

I really don’t understand; ok, we aren’t playing greet football right now, we are having hard time to win the games… but we have to support the team always, not cursing players and coaches and everything.

This team is playing depleted by injuries since the season started, MANY injuries, TOO MUCH… and we are 8-3 that without few major mistakes it could have been 10-1.

At full strength we would be 11-0, you know this very well.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving fellas… go wonderful Bills !

A lot of the fans doing that were Jerry Sullivan fans.  It is very hard to break that habit.   I wonder if Niagara Falls Gazette got more or less subscribers when he was hired.

Right now we just have a disconnect from what we actually are at this moment and what we, the fans, expect we should be. I wrote this below in the Lions thread earlier this week which outlined using advanced stats, how we appeared to be more like a 5 point favorite on a neutral field, so a 2 point favorite on the road. Which ended up playing out. The Lions are actually pretty damn good.

I keep saying at this moment, currently, right now, etc. We are taking every teams best and we are exhausted. Injuries, travel, all of it. In time we can be closer to what I think all of us expected, but we need a break desperately and we need to get healthy. At some point it starts to become silly to think we could meet expectations with the majority of our elite players hurt. At some point that does impact even the best. To the Bills credit they have ripped off two ugly wins in Detroit against teams that could beat us. We won games while being at a fraction of what we are capable of.

We need a break to get right. We need some breaks with health. It's exhausting to take everybody's best effort every week while fighting against the breaks. Huge credit to Diggs today. After arguably his worst performance as a Bill, he seemed to be our QB on those last drives rallying the troops. Unlike most WR 1's he didn't sulk, he willed the team. Super impressed with how he was able to respond.

This will not be a roll over game, not with the way the Lions have been playing on offense.

The Lions were a 3 point underdog to the Giants on the road. So Vegas see's them as even, DVOA has the Lions 6 spots ahead of the Giants.

To give you an idea, 4 spots ahead of the Lions, is Tennessee, 3 spots ahead are the Jets, 2 spots ahead are the Packers, 1 spot ahead are the Browns. We have played all 4 teams. I would not use the Titans game for reference, we were so much healthier and crisp at that time.

Against the Packers, Browns, and Jets we went 2-1 with an average score of 25-20. The Lions are ranked much higher in DVOA in the weighted version. I used the non weighted version. Just as we are ranked lower in the weighted version (#1 non weighted).

We should win, yes, but this is not the same old Lions. They can threaten us. We will have to play well. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Lions are in the playoff discussion at years end.

No, those are different fans who usually don't post at all because the overwhelming majority of the vocal fans are kool aid drinking homers and there is no room for the opposition.

Having said that, the definitive statements during the game like "We are a joke!" are of course way out of bounds...but people take the team seriously.

We have a passionate fanbase and I think that comes out the wrong way during games sometimes with all the pressure and stress of wanting to win!

YES I would guess Josh's elbow is NOT 100%.  How bad is it?  Don't know.  Is it solely responsible for his play the last 4 or so games?  I don't think so--it's more than just pain in his elbow.

Also, look at this throw at the end to Diggs!  Not sure he could make that throw if his elbow was truly injured right now.

I really don’t think the d was as bad as what’s being said today.  It’s easy to see the lions and browns records and assume they’re bad at everything but those two teams have some of the best offenses in the league.

held lions to their average ppg and under their average ypg.  Their ppg/ypg honestly should be higher but they got shut out by the  pats missing all their skill position players.

it was the offense that performed below expectations imo

I totally don't get the angst after a great character-building win like this. I think fans seriously expect the Bills to destroy everyone or it's a disappointment.

These are the wins that matter. How you respond when you get punched in the mouth.

Surpringly the Browns and Lions are 4th and 6th in offense in the NFL. They have good offenses and we did enough to win the games.
