Diggs wasn’t involved or even targeted. he was frustrated, he talked to the coach instead of throwing a tantrum. it was a thing that happened. Probably significant that it calmed Diggs down and got him a TD. non-issue. Expand Agreed. I'm even surprised there is a thread for this ha ha. The offense had zero first downs for a long while and Diggs zero targets at that point. Quote

The part I left out was, Diggs looked a little confused like he wasn’t sure he was supposed to be part of that package. It turned out okay, though! Quote

Expand It's a thing, but a good thing. The team needed a spark early on, and I think that premier plays like Diggs stepping up was absolutely huge. Quote

Josh kept taking what defense was giving. 2 Quote
Buddo Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 The assumption being made, is that Diggs was complaining, because he hadn't seen the ball at all up till then. It's probably true, but he's also one of the team captains on offense, so it could even have been related to the overall offense. It also looked like a very sensible and mature dialogue, between McDermott and Diggs, with neither being upset by anything the other said. 3 Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 The offense and the play calling was absolutely putrid at that point, and our best weapon hadnt seen a single ball thrown his way. Makes total sense. Diggs has proven before that as long as we are winning, he doesnt care about targets. But when we are playing that poorly and he is being ignored, it seems like a quick and easy fix for a sputtering offense. Good for Stefon. I hope he told McD to get a handle on his OC before he loses the entire team. 2 Quote
DuckyBoys Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 whatever McDermott said to him seemed to deflate any animosity His shoulders slumped and it almost looked like he put his head on McDermotts shoulder 2 Quote

He’s a top 3 WR and wasnt targeted to that point and the O was a disaster Expand Disagree. The only way one can have an intelligent comment on Diggs targets is to view the All 22 AND know the play that was called. Maybe he wasn’t targeted because the primary receiver on the play was open and thrown to. Maybe he wasn’t targeted because he wasn’t open. Think it through. Quote

HalftimeAdjustment Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 I saw a player talking to the head coach, and both of them trying to find a way win the football game. So, that's a good thing. What's the problem? 1 1 1 Quote
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 If Diggs wasn't upset at how the offense was going, I'd be more concerned. As a competitor who wants to win every game, it looked like it was eating at Diggs and McDermott did the right thing calming the situation down, kudos to the both of them. 1 Quote
