Nervous Guy Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Red is for winners! Junk science IMHO....it took the Red Sox 86 freakin years!
duey Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 I watched an old Bills - Fish game recently, and Jim Richter's white pants had a ton of blood on it by the time the game reached the second quarter. Now THAT'S the kind of red I'm talking about!
SilverNRed Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Red is for winners! Junk science IMHO....it took the Red Sox 86 freakin years! 340214 Angels switched to red and won the World Series a few months later. Coincidence? Hell NO!
Mark VI Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 But look what it did to those 2 Red Sox players in that picture. I little too much pitch and catch...if you know what I mean.

Now THAT'S the kind of red I'm talking about! 340217 blood or red paint from the field. I loved watching games on turf, cause there was no mistake then.
USMCBillsFan Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Yeah, the Yankees and their 26 World Championships are all because of the red in their uniforms....
/dev/null Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 they don't need more red in their uniform they need more cowbell!!!
ExiledInIllinois Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Yeah, the Yankees and their 26 World Championships are all because of the red in their uniforms.... 340500 You took the words out of my mouth!
PTS Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Red is for winners! Junk science IMHO....it took the Red Sox 86 freakin years! 340214 Sabres should have had and worn their Third Jersey in June of 1999.
stuckincincy Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Yeah, the Yankees and their 26 World Championships are all because of the red in their uniforms.... 340500 Not to mention the green in their wallet.
ExiledInIllinois Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Not to mention the green in their wallet. 340511 That ALWAYS helps!
/dev/null Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Not to mention the green in their wallet. 340511 almost as strong a shade of green as the faces of jealous fans of opposing teams
Crap Throwing Monkey Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Red is for winners! Junk science IMHO....it took the Red Sox 86 freakin years! 340214 Into "Joe Theisman" stupid territory again. Based on their data, one could just as easily conclude that being a more competitive athlete makes one prefer bright colors like red as you could that wearing red makes one more competitive. Pure junk, like you said. And yet...they probably got public money for it. I wonder if I can get a federal grant to study the effects of bird logos on the winning percentages in the NFL...?
stuckincincy Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 almost as strong a shade of green as the faces of jealous fans of opposing teams 340515 Are you having a bad cowbell day?
seq004 Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 The Bills seemed to reach the endzone more when it was colored red.
bill in Livonia Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 NG, I have been watching for a post from you and finally it's here but, "more red in the uniforms"? Come on NG you can do better than that! Run down the hall and consult with T-Bone.
BillnutinHouston Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Yeah, the Yankees and their 26 World Championships are all because of the red in their uniforms.... 340500 Guess you missed the point of the article. It deals with statistical probability. Oh, never mind.
splinter21 Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 how do they claim the patriots have red in their uniforms? red is a very minor color in their unis.
