Definite bummer. yeah it is. My visits in Detroit are usually for music festivals at Hart Plaza. Most days we would head to the casino for a bathroom break and cool off (would play some slots to not cause an issue) and then head to Greektown or Bricktown for food. Pizzapopolis had great deep dish. Nikky's was good modestly priced diner food, or you could get some greek/ middle eastern favorites. 1 Quote

zow2 Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 I still don't see how they get all the players, coaches, staff out of that mess in Hamburg/OP and on the road to catch a plane tomorrow afternoon. 3 Quote

Heitz Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 Where are the TBD Hammer's Lot locals sitting? A couple friends are asking. Quote

Especially seeing as the snow is still coming down, I'm going to suggest there is no way they could have gotten that stadium prepared for a game at 1pm on Sunday. Quote

They would have to move the starting time. Quote

It will be fun to hear all the stories on how they got there. I'm sure the pregame will be fun to watch! Quote

That kinda reminds me of Minneapolis! Those folks rarely have to go outside downtown in the winter, and for good reason! Why is it that is the location of the only Super Bowl I’ve ever been to? It’s like the World Cup in summer in Qatar, why didn’t somebody realize that was a bad idea BEFORE signing up for the deal? EDIT: That was in the OLD stadium in Minneapolis and that place was a dump! I’d love to see a game, any game, in their new stadium. Even in the winter. . Edited November 19, 2022 by Augie 3 Quote
Marvin Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 There is virtually no snow where I am (West Amherst). There is even less where some of my friends are in Niagara Falls. It makes me wonder if the idea of putting the new stadium there has more merit than I thought. Quote
