zow2 Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 The thing is,,, are they gonna wait until the worst possible weather conditions to move all the Bills players/coaches/equipment/gear over to Detroit? I mean the big event starts later tonight so this is the worst possible timing. They kind of need to mobilize now i would think,,, (if they are really planning to move it). 1 Quote

Jacoby Brissett isn't nearly as good as Kirk Cousins. While the Bills still have to defend the pass, it won't be as difficult as it was against the Vikings. 1 Quote
Gugny Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 (edited) Looks like Detroit isn't the only option being looked at (thanks for the tip, @Mike in Horseheads): One problem with moving the game to Detroit is that the Bills would lose their home-field advantage against the Browns as Cleveland is only a 2.5 hour drive from Detroit. On the other hand though, the Bills would get a slight benefit because they wouldn't have to travel for their Thanksgiving game. According to Cleveland.com, the NFL is also considering several other locations for the game (Stadiums in Philadelphia, Washington and Carolina are all available if the league doesn't want to move Bills-Browns so close to Cleveland). https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-could-move-browns-bills-game-out-of-buffalo-due-to-epic-snowstorm-heres-what-the-league-is-considering/ Edited November 17, 2022 by Gugny 1 Quote

Albany,n.y. Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 (edited) Make Cleveland leave now & sleep in the team buses like the RV fans do.😈 Get the Bills to bunk at the players homes nearest the stadium & send emergency vehicles to get them. The Bills played in empty stadiums 2 years ago. Just give ticket holders the option to not attend & get a refund if they don't. The problem is the secondary market, but that's not the Bills ticket office's problem. The fans who bought on the secondary market will have to deal with the company that sold them the seats. PS: According to WGR the playing conditions on Sunday should be pretty good, with most if not all of the snow ending before game time. Edited November 17, 2022 by Albany,n.y. Quote

I am sure diverting massive amounts of resources by Erie County to focus on the Bills game while leaving other areas stranded for days will go over real well here. It's funny how almost all of the "Just do X" comments are from people who were not here and did not live through Snowvember 2014. Edited November 17, 2022 by Big Turk 1 1 1 Quote

Are you gonna make them leave their insurance jobs a day early to get there? Quote

The Browns don't have to travel in dangerous conditions. They can easily fly to Detroit. 3. The fans in WNY can stay home and watch the game which is the smart thing to do. 4. The Bills could have a normal practice/walkthrough on Friday and Saturday if they left today. We’ve already missed one day of practice due to illness, and there is legitimate concern that players will be able to get to the facility Friday and Saturday. Then they will have to deal with the snow and getting to Detroit. Quote

Billsflyer12 Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 As a pilot who has flown NFL charters it’s definitely not as easy as “fire up the ole jet, let’s go to Detroit.” The Bills charter a plane with big airline, usually a wide body 767 that is planned way in advance. The big airlines don’t keep a standby 767 for sports charter purposes. To fly out quickly last minute today would be a real challenge. They would have likely had to plan this yesterday or day before. I suppose they could always take buses last minute. 😂 3 1 Quote

Is that going to be followed by a sudden temperature raise? Like my flood in Houston, it was non-stop raining in Houston for a day and wife and I took turns watching the water levels. About 11 she crawls in to bed and said we are ok, the rain has stopped. I got up and the water was abut a foot from flooding our house. I went back and told her you are sleeping tonight, were are going to start moving rugs and furniture. Within a few hours were flooded. I went thru the Blizzard of 77, these are the type of number's were are talking about here. I had 4 days of school in February. The county will be in trouble most likely for days. In the blizzard of 77 they loaded empty railcars with snow just to get rid of it. 4 minutes ago, Buffalo619 said: This is your typical 2022 overreaction. Storm will be over by Saturday morning.
