All these guys turned out to be failed head coaches because there is no magic in NE, it was one guy who took it all with him when he left for Tampa. Not Vrabel though - low-key a top 3 coach in the league, even though he's a total meathead he has his team ready almost every week and in almost every game situation.

(I don’t really count Nick Saban, who was an NFL failure). 21 minutes ago, Coach Tuesday said: Not Vrabel though - low-key a top 3 coach in the league, even though he's a total meathead he has his team ready almost every week and in almost every game situation. your description of Vrabel here is something I probably could have written verbatim. I will note though that he never coached under Bellichick. I also read that his time playing for Pittsburgh may have influenced his coaching more than his time as a player in NE.

msw2112
No conspiracy theory here. McDaniels just sucks. He is not a good head coach. And Mark Davis is an idiot. They had a good thing going last season with Rich Bisacchia and he gave up on that in favor of McDaniels. Just stupid. He has completely destroyed three afc teams, Denver, Indianapolis, and Las Vegas (all three teams were coming off some success against the dark lord’s patriots). *He technically left the colts at the altar at the last minute leaving them in a bind. 2. His only success came when he was running spygate 2 with Denver. After he was caught and released, he went back with the empire/Bill B. 3. Rumor has it that he will go back to New England/Sauron once he is released from Las Vegas. 4. Bottom line is that coaches from emperor palpatine’s coaching tree can’t coach worth a 💩 when they aren’t with the cheatriots. 5. All makes me wonder if Josh Daniels and other former pats assistants, who get head coaching jobs, are simply saboteurs. 6. Thanks for listening to my tin foil rant and 🤔 away. #patsarestillvideotaping Well, he won a couple playoff games w/ Tim Tebow so he has some degree of success. Interesting theory either way

Belichick spent some of his early years a young assistant for Jim Irsay's Baltimore Colts, and Bill knew too many negative things about the family for it to be a good environment for Josh. Frank Reich learned the hard way. Where did the narrative start that Frank Reich is a good head coach? The shutout loss to Jacksonville in week 18 last year when the playoffs were on the line is all time stinker.

Players are willing to play joyless football if they are consistently competing for championships. Daboll is not doing that in NY. In fact, he's building a Bills-like culture to get player buy-in.
