I think it would be way more fun to decide games with actual soccer playing than shootouts.

 

Maybe alternate 1.5 minute 6 on 5s in the offensive half. Kinda like college football. Play is dead if the defense clears it over midfield or the offense takes a shot that results in a goal kick. Keeps going back and forth until one team scores and the other doesn't.

 

Would be far more fun to watch and a more fitting display of soccer deciding the outcome versus penalty shots.

Had a flurry of chances to win it at the end...if they lose on kicks, it will be embarrassing. First give up 2 goals late to tie, including a last minute one. Then can't close it out with multiple chances at the end.

Morocco is a very well disciplined well coached team. They have only allowed only one goal in 5 games. I think this team has the best defense and they say defenses win championships

One of the best quarterfinals I can recall for the World Cup. I was hoping for England, but France is a worthy team. Everyone left has a good story attached. You have to favor Argentina and France, but this is not a chalk tournament, so who really knows? So sad about Grant Wahl . . .

I like the checkerboards. I also have a Euro bias, so that works for me, but I can't say I dislike anyone who is left.

This could be the first time that a final has the same teams as the previous World Cup, France vs. Croatia. However, while it saddens me, I think the underdog fairy tale is over, and the final will be Argentina vs France.

**Correction** Riots in France and other European cities.  The Moroccan's are looting, rioting, destroying and fighting anything French.  The Moroccans apparently have been trouble in every World Cup game.**

 

I just wonder if this country will be banned from competing in a World Cup going forward?
