SCBills Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Please move this game.. I am not about getting into the habit of potentially losing one game per year because of "home field disadvantage". Pats last year. Now staring down the barrel of this.. 1 Quote

I think at this point it doesn't look like there will be snow for the game itself. So hopefully the impact on the game will be minimal. Question is how much gets dumped in the stadium in the days before and will they be able to clear the stands and surrounding areas. 1 Quote

I think some people have wishful thinking that the Bills would perform better over the Browns in a neutral Dome. Maybe so. But since late last night through today the forecast for Sunday in OP has been flurries, windy and cold. No big weather event. Even Saturday is showing only 1-3 inches. The big event will be Thurs-Fri and alot of it will be in Buffalo/North. I'm not convinced the game gets moved. 1 Quote

The problem is in these situations things can change rapidly, often without any warning and catching the forecasters by surprise. Models are accurate to a degree, but cannot predict everything with 100% accuracy. Typically during the event itself as it is ongoing, the snow totals and areas impacted tend to change also quite rapidly and unpredictably...either because the band decides to shift unexpectedly, or stay in place longer than expected. Been through far too many of these events where things end up far different from what was forecast both for duration, intensity and location and usually those don't become apparent until you are in the event itself. Snowvember was basically the same way...bands simply stayed in place far longer and with more intensity than initially expected. It appears the overall snow total has backed down somewhat from earlier models, but again...we will see what happens during the event and those expected totals can rapidly change. Nearly sold out by Bills fans.🤷♂️ It was a Bills home game, and the atmosphere was loud and rowdy, every bit as much as Bills games in OP. Edited November 16, 2022 by cba fan add 1 Quote

I'd say Allen v Brisset gives us a huge advantage in the snow. Our QB is faster and a much greater threat to run. Snow also negates speed. Singletary has really quick feet and small cuts so i think he (like mccoy) would thrive in a snowy environment. Quote

Minn burned a ton of TOs due to crowd noise. Dome will amplify that. Hey, can we move the game to the Carrier Dome? (not big enough, so not sure what would happen to excess tickets). How about PSU? or Pitt on Sat night? 2 minutes ago, thebug said: Just booked a room at Motorcity hotel casino, just in case! that's great advance planning! 1 1 Quote

The only problem is the lions actually play at 1PM on sunday so... thats gonna be tough to get any detroit fans to come out and support the team. They also play cleveland and they sort of fit the same rust belt persona as detroit and buffalo. Quote
Big Turk Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 (edited) So here are things to consider for the game... What if Erie County issues a travel ban like they normally do in these situations? Nobody who cannot walk/snowmobile can legally attend the game? Those bans typically last far longer than you would think...perhaps they make an exception, but how does having 70K people trying to get to a single point help them? Could be a logistics nightmare. What if the I-90/219 is closed? Just not a good situation no matter what if they decide to play the game here. Likely everywhere else will suffer from lack of plowing trying to ensure their plows keep paths to the stadium clear, and there is no guarantee they can keep up with it anyway.
