Please move this game.. I am not about getting into the habit of potentially losing one game per year because of "home field disadvantage".

Pats last year.  Now staring down the barrel of this..

I think at this point it doesn't look like there will be snow for the game itself. So hopefully the impact on the game will be minimal.

Question is how much gets dumped in the stadium in the days before and will they be able to clear the stands and surrounding areas.

They will not have this game Sunday at OP. It will be called Thursday.

Officials will not be in the position of seeing 70,000 people froze in cars, blocked behind stuck cars ( only Labatts for food ;)

Team + NFL are quiet because they’re working on it and anything they say today is wrong tomorrow.

P.s. anyone want six tickets?

PM me.  I'll take 2

They used my tweet in their article!

"Would make the most sense to move to Detroit...they are on the road and the Bills play there on Thanksgiving which means they could just stay there and practice ahead of the game next Thursday."

The moron "journalist" who wrote that article does not understand the word "cancelled"

I think some people have wishful thinking that the Bills would perform better over the Browns in a neutral Dome.  Maybe so. But since late last night through today the forecast for Sunday in OP has been flurries, windy and cold.  No big weather event.  Even Saturday is showing only 1-3 inches.  The big event will be Thurs-Fri and alot of it will be in Buffalo/North.  I'm not convinced the game gets moved.

The problem is in these situations things can change rapidly, often without any warning and catching the forecasters by surprise. Models are accurate to a degree, but cannot predict everything with 100% accuracy. Typically during the event itself as it is ongoing, the snow totals and areas impacted tend to change also quite rapidly and unpredictably...either because the band decides to shift unexpectedly, or stay in place longer than expected.

anyone know what happens if you buy StubHub tickets and the game gets moved?

Probably would get a refund for the tickets itself but perhaps not of the stubhub fees?

The key thing is..."according to models and as of right now." Been through far too many of these events where things end up far different from what was forecast both for duration, intensity and location and usually those don't become apparent until you are in the event itself.

Snowvember was basically the same way...bands simply stayed in place far longer and with more intensity than initially expected. It appears the overall snow total has backed down somewhat from earlier models, but again...we will see what happens during the event and those expected totals can rapidly change.

Buffalo weather is why I never returned home to Buffalo after leaving in 1985. Early home games beyond Sept are likely to encounter rains and high winds, the followed by crappy winter weather. Sorry, but a dome would have been appropriate 50 years ago and still would be today.

Hmm, who do I believe, you or my lying eyes?

These guys are saying almost 2" per hour overnight Saturday-Sunday. It's from Accuweather and it's specific to OP.

i guess you do not remember the last "neutral Dome" game Bills played in, in Detroit, vs Jets. Nearly sold out by Bills fans.🤷‍♂️

It was a Bills home game, and the atmosphere was loud and rowdy, every bit as much as Bills games in OP.

Ironically for a place that gets a good amount of snow, although less than here, they have the worst plowing I have ever seen. Just a disaster.

I'd say Allen v Brisset gives us a huge advantage in the snow.  Our QB is faster and a much greater threat to run.

Snow also negates speed.  Singletary has really quick feet and small cuts so i think he (like mccoy) would thrive in a snowy environment.

Agreed.  It's clear that the noise, not the weather, is our biggest home field advantage.  Minn burned a ton of TOs due to crowd noise.  Dome will amplify that.

Hey, can we move the game to the Carrier Dome?  (not big enough, so not sure what would happen to excess tickets).   How about PSU?  or Pitt on Sat night?

The only problem is the lions actually play at 1PM on sunday so... thats gonna be tough to get any detroit fans to come out and support the team.

They also play cleveland and they sort of fit the same rust belt persona as detroit and buffalo.

So here are things to consider for the game...

What if Erie County issues a travel ban like they normally do in these situations?  Nobody who cannot walk/snowmobile can legally attend the game?

Those bans typically last far longer than you would think...perhaps they make an exception, but how does having 70K people trying to get to a single point help them? Could be a logistics nightmare.

What if the I-90/219 is closed?

Just not a good situation no matter what if they decide to play the game here. Likely everywhere else will suffer from lack of plowing trying to ensure their plows keep paths to the stadium clear, and there is no guarantee they can keep up with it anyway.
