2 Forced Fumbles on the Year

Seems a little light, no?

Was perusing our stats and thought this was an interesting one.

 

I feel like you could get lucky on FF more than twice in 9 games.

I check the updated stats every Monday morning and this one has stood out big time.    I took a look back and it seems like something the Bills havent been particularly good at under McDermott, but even by those standards its very low this year.

Most fumbles are going to come from QBs.  And its flukey as to how they occur.

 

Buffalo is still 3rd in the NFL in takeaways.  If we could not be DEAD LAST in turnovers on offense we'd probably be cooking with gas here.

You have to tackle well to force fumbles. When guys are leaving their feet and arm tackling the FF will be few and far between.

This is a scandal considering how often they let the offensive player get an extra 7 yards because they're swinging wildly at the ball rather than tackling him

I'd be happy if the first contact resulted in a tackle.  I definitely don't expect this crew to force fumbles.

We don't tackle well so forced fumbles are not going to follow.

Fumbles are mostly random and not a predictor of success.  INTs are a product of pass rush and coverage and are a predictor of win/loss.

Team doesnt coach ripping the ball out and we dont send extra pressure at the qb often
