My apologies to all the decent people here on TBD, because my mother taught me never to use this word, especially when in reference to people. BUT, this is as “stupid” as it gets here at TBD.

Talk about overreaction Monday. This Poll is the new poster boy for “Overreaction Monday.” I will not lower myself to participating in the vote.

Yes, mom, some things deserve it: This is  STUPID, just plain STUPID!

No, what we're doing is spinning our wheels with an upside of a freak AFCCG appearance.

This was the year the final step was to be taken, and it ain't happening.

How do you know that? The Chiefs were 5-4 last season and the Rams were 6-4.

Predict the rest of the schedule.

I'm interested to see how the gears of your mind work.

Can Beane make a coaching change or would Pegula have to do it....since McDermott was here 1st?

I remember listening to an interview with Terry Pegula when they were both hired. Terry said both will report to him. He said Brandon has final say on shaping the roster (draft/FA) and McDermott has final say when it comes coaching the team (practices, game day decisions, who plays and who doesn't stuff like that). I guess it would be Terry's call.

Well since I'm not a doomer, I still see 11-12 wins.

Wins over: NYJ at home, NE twice (yes really), Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit.

Losses: Cincy, Miami (depending on how healthy we are).

Well, your predictions are going to be tested early.

No. He had 3 straight 7-9 seasons with Brees as his QB too. The overreactions on this board are comical.

He didn't have Brandon Beane as his GM.

Many of those years the Saints were in "cap hell" and Drew Brees, despite his gaudy stats, committed a ton of turnovers.  Unlike Allen, Brees was strictly a pocket guy.  There was no other dimension to his game.

Not only that. Brees was throwing for 5,000 yards in those seasons. He had elite QB play and was still having losing seasons. Way worse than anything McDermott has done.

He had one of the best QB's in NFL history and continually choked in the playoffs. He won one ring.

The myth of Drew Brees...take a look at his turnovers and remember that Drew was strictly a pocket passer.  Those gaudy stats came at a price that too many choose to ignore.

Does everyone so quickly forget that the Saints are the absolute kings of postseason disappointment?  Honestly, in the last 15 years, I can' think of a team that was more hyped to win it all, finish with a top 3 record, and only made the Super Bowl one time.  What upgrade do you think we are getting with him?

This board kills me after a loss

tbf, one game was the freak Minneapolis miracle play and the other loss was due to a blatantly missed PI by the rams.

And this poll pops up right after we have a similar loss.  Yet somehow bringing in a coach with similar history is a solution

How many years of Josh Allens career are you willing to waste before moving on? I'm serious.  How many years?

This is already year 5, 4 of which productive,  3 superstar prime years.

So are you okay wasting 4 prime years? 5?

Elway won Championships in his last 2 seasons, and his stats we're pedestrian in those Super Bowls.  Ironically they won rings because they didn't ask Elway to carry the team on this back anymore.

Sound like a familiar situation?

Different Era, sort of, but the concept is the same.

edit- Manning got a ring at 40, similar stats to Elway in the SB, and Manning wasn't more than okay all season.

Here we go again FIRE THEM ALL LETS START ALL OVER  REBUILD THE TEAMS COACHING STAFF !!

If you want to say bring Payton in as a offensive consultant or even the offensive coordinator i'd say that might work but McD has brought this team from the bottom of the league to the top & by doing what the Bills did for 17+ years by everytime there is a problem firing the coach is not the thing to do .

Stability is a really good thing can we not learn anything from teams such as the Steelers, the early Cowboys & other teams that have not fired every coach after 3 or 4 years to go into another rebuild . I guess not in Buffalo some didn't learn a thing from the past lets keep the incompetence going ...

John Elway? Jeez, put your VCR tapes and CRT TV away, that's not football today.
