People really got into the superbowl favorite best roster in the league hype. Then of course they started out firing on all cylinders and looked pretty unstoppable. We had a thread about going undefeated. As injuries piled up and chinks in the armor began to show we have hit a slump of bad play. Lot of that is on Allen. There’s posters who have been complaining all year the roster isn’t good enough, some much worse than others. Every loss brings out the worst of the worst in fans. It’s a long season, Buffalo was never going to play flawless ball for 17 games. Other teams that look amazing now may slump as well or have a rash of injuries. People probably are as sick of me typing this as I am in typing it, but you just need to get hot and start playing your best ball at the right time. And they need a little luck on the health side of things as well. Big picture is not easy to see when you’re so caught up in the moment. This post demonstrates rational and clinical thinking, if not wisdom and perspective. You will never make it on social media. 1 Quote

Low Positive Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 It was an emotional loss. People posted some over the top reactions in response to that emotion. I know that I did in the game thread. We all have Trent Edwards PTSD, and these past few games are triggering that. The only solution is for Josh to stop throwing interceptions, and I have no control over that. Quote

I've already been over this with another canoe, but, this is the first time I've changed screen name in like five years. Time before that was due to moving. But please, continue your bloviating. It's mildly entertaining. Quote

BeastMaster Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 I've seen enough from Josh in previous seasons to say that his current issues are due to coaching. His coaches are failing him. What I hope they aren't doing is ruining him Quote

I’ve never seen a bigger group of ungrateful cry babies than a bunch of people around these parts the last few weeks. This guy lays it all on the line on every play. Yeah, he has had a handful of plays the past few weeks that are not what we are accustomed to seeing from him. But I see idiotic comments comparing him to Wentz, saying he isn’t living up to his contract, he’s been trash, etc etc. First, how about some appreciation he even played today, and WITHOUT pain killers in his elbow. How about how he was the only reason we were even in this game. How about how he didn’t even look to protect himself despite playing hurt while scrambling to all game trying to win. He’s a warrior on every play and played hurt today. How quickly y’all forget what life around used to be before we were blessed with Allen. How about rallying around our guy? Don’t have to make excuses for him, he doesn’t either. But the amount of people straight throwing him under the bus is pathetic. End of the day…despite the offensive miscues…We are essentially 2 missed FGs and a miracle catch by Jefferson (that might have been the greatest catch I’ve ever seen) from being undefeated. Despite missing half our defense in all 3 losses. When we were healthy we were destroying teams. Offense has had 3 bad second halves in a row, now it’s time for Dorsey and Allen to figure out what is going wrong in the second half and make adjustments. I for one have all the confidence in the world still in Josh that we will figure this out. I haven't seen anybody out of line. The expectations are sky high this year and ppl are understandably concerned Allen has 7 turnovers in 3 games since the bye. I love 17 no matter what but this is very concerning. We haven't seen this type of stretch since 2019. I agree we were the better team in our losses but its concerning and becoming a trend with this team in close games Back to back blown double digit leads is not close to SB material but we still have 8 games to get it together These losses might be a blessing in disguise and make this team even more dialed in or it might kill their confidence. We shall see. Go Bills 2 Quote

I think it is personally fine for someone to blow of steam when we witnessed what we did. I think if you surveil the comments now, a lot have de-escalated their vitriol and mean comments. It is human nature. Again, starting later today if those comments keep coming up, sure you have a point.....but honestly, you are too quick on this. The Bills follow the 24 hour rule, maybe we ought to consider that too? Quote

oldmanfan Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Josh is a tremendous talent and I am confident we will win at least one Lombardi with him as QB. But he has cost us the last two games, and it is OK to acknowledge that. Quote

To be fair the Defense is only on the hook for 26 of those 30 points. The Bills scored 30. Enough to win. 1 Quote

McDummy should have been gone after 13 seconds and now this is icing on the cake. Wasting our SB window with this clown who now publicly stated after the game in his presser he concerned the team is going to lose belief in themselves. Get him the bleep out of here. 6 minutes ago, oldmanfan said: We don’t know if we win with Keenum. We know Josh made dumb decisions that cost us the last two games. Billzgobowlin Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 I think Peterson with his post game comments might have been the best thing for Allen. He basically said Allen was telegraphing when the ball was coming Peterson's way because he said he was playing the QB instead of the receiver. I think there is a way to correct that. It's a shame Allen couldn't figure it out after the first INT Quote
