The rumors are that Daboll and McD did not get along.

That very well could be because Daboll knew what we needed to do and McD wouldn’t allow it.

Flores lawsuit mentions that Daboll wanted out of Buffalo even if he didn’t get a head coaching job. He just wanted to be away from McD.

That sounds like a Daboll problem. Guys from the Belichick tree have never been known as being stable personalities.

We’re 6-3 with 8 games to go and we could still hypothetically win the Super Bowl this year.

What are you on about?

Stop being grounded and logical. Bills just took a 7-1 team down to the wire and lost on a freak play, their season is obviously finished.

McDermott is an absolute dumpster fire, he's way over his head coaching a contending team. He might have lost this team as well.

There's a reason we are abysmal in 1 score games.

Get Sean Payton on line 1.

We were 7-6 with Daboll last year and lost to the Jags, how quickly people forget.

He was the OC, not the HC... reports were the two did not see eye to eye and did not get along.

Dabol leaves and propels the Giants to 7-2 with half the team as the Bills who are waffling at 6-3 peering over the cliff.

It's laughable Dabol is having more success than McDermott and entirely eye opening.

And how many pro bowlers were we missing on defense today? Poyer, Hyde, White, Edmunds for part of the game...not to mention our last two first round picks? I have to believe if we had more than one starter playing on our secondary this game would of had a much different outcome. We literally had what, this year's sixth round pick covering arguably the best receiver in the league?

Yea it’s lookin like we will probably be on the road for most/potentially all playoff games but the team is gonna look much different by then on the defensive side

Daboll is a bit of genius designing an offense. He was not a very good playcaller in a lot of games.
He’s a better head coach than offensive coordinator. His smartest move was getting Kafka over there. I don’t wanna bash the guy because he’s a huge reason this team was able to rise. But let’s not pretend like his in game play calling and non existent adjustments at halftime are the reason Allen is having brain farts.

The Bills are 3-3 vs winning teams and the Giants 2-2... We have Josh Allen and a top D, they have Daniel Fn Jones and a roster that won 4 games last year.

And they have a stud RB in Barkley.

My gut was telling me to promote Daboll as HC

I had frustrations with Daboll the play caller. I didn’t have the same gut feeling.

But here we are. Haha.

Doesn't mean we should have one this year. This is a dumb take

You didn’t really understand the context of the take then…Daboll was here last year and the same thing happened midseason so it’s not like this situation is unique to Dorsey.

this thread is about how Daboll leaving has caused the team to collapse and I’m not ready to agree with that yet

This is the downside of having a defensive coach. Offensive coaches come and go and you have to reset. KC will always have this advantage on us.

Dorsey is a first year OC, he is learning too.

Unfortunately, if he figures it out and does well, we will end up losing him just like Daboll. Then rinse and repeat.

I might be misrembering, but I felt Daboll relied too heavily on trick plays to get us over the line in the red zone.

Now we just turn the ball over in the red zone lol. Maybe he was onto something
