It all has to do with coaching, Dorseys/Josh's aggressive styles. When they're on their A-game, few will be beat them. Problem is, being overly aggressive comes with risks. It's a very fine line. Someone needs to take that 4th quarter game tying drive, and put it on replay for Josh's. Showing him its OK to checkdown the ball. I like this take and if it isn't a concussion etc this seems spot on 4 minutes ago, JerseyBills said: There was at least 5 plays Allen could have checked it down for positive yards I think it's the expectations and fame thinking he has to be Superman every game The 4 red zone ints have been inexcusable though and not on the coaches. He looked like a rookie on them throws Why can't 17 ever check it down. It's killing us and been a theme his whole career He was taking the yac plays earlier this year or we were scheming them more/the short game was great, I dunno what happened to our bread and butter 7-12 yards passing plays that were indefensible Quote
ILBillsfan Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I just think Josh is pressing too much and not playing settled comforatble football...... hate thining in high pressure situations he is failing but right now he is... the fumbles sneak the int in OT those are all high pressure situations..... I've seen him succeed in those but lately he hasn't and it could be something.... One thing for certain there is something wrong there imo 1 Quote

The Bills were rolling and I just wanted to enjoy the season. But I re-upped this week. Saying we’re missing Beasley operates under the assumption that nobody is running crossers, slants, or anything quick/shallow. And that’s just not the case. There are guys he’s around and open and he isn’t even looking. Or he looks and throws over their head to the tough throw behind him for 20 rather pick up 6 and play the sticks. 2 Quote
Brandon Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 There's nothing wrong with him except that he's pressing because the team expects him to be the answer to everything on offense. He's putting too much pressure on himself and forcing throws. 1 Quote

Then, when in excellent position with a check down in overtime he throws another inexplicable interception. 1 Quote

I think he’s played dominant and we’ve been dominant, so he just grips too tight to “be dominant”. Then when that doesn’t go well, he presses harder to get that game, drive, play, etc. back. We’re just in a vicious circle we have to get out of. Glad this is happening now rather than December or January. 2 1 Quote

He reminds me of early career Brett Favre right now. He's trying to do too much. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Edited November 13, 2022 by Brandon 1 Quote

To me it all started after the play during the Green Bay game where Josh tries to run the ball in the end zone down the sideline and is met with a very large DT face mask to face mask. I think Josh has been playing with a concussion since that hit and there was a hit in the jets game where Josh was on his hands and knees shaking his head side to side as well where he seemed to have had his bell rung. Flame away but this isn't how JA17 plays, somethings seriously not right and it reminds me of Trent Edward's after the Wilson hit and I'm scared........... What are you talking about? This is how Josh has always played. The difference is that in the past his "should be" INTs turn into Jaw dropping TDs. He's been a gun slinger his whole life and he's going through a stint where it isn't working our for him and you're asking him to be Chad Pennington. The reason that he's throwing more INTs because we're throwing the entire outcome of the game on his shoulders every single week. You can't do that. Our defense makes a stop on 4th and 18 and that pick doesn't exist and we're talking about how JA is the best player in the NFL again. 1 1 1 1 Quote

Hes actually too good for these picks, or a mental lapse on a snap in his own EZ. All the symptoms are there. Embarassing as a fan base to hear how quick ppl are turning on a dude thats given us everything. Putting his brain on the line for us with a concussion he has to keep hush about, and ppl are saying "season is over" blah blah blah. Dont care if i get 100 downvotes. Be better. TWO GAMES ITS BEEN. TWO. Relax, everything will be fine. We found a nice rhythm till the 4th. Well take what we can from it, grow, and move on. Shame on some of you 1 Quote
Billzgobowlin Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I think it's easier than you think. My thought is the receiver wasn't in the right spot. It looked to awkward not to be a timing route that the WR screwed up on. My guess is they were supposed to be on the inside and didn't get to their spot 1 Quote
