At some point you have to blame the people running the show. I’m starting to think McD & staff has run it’s course. I'm on board with this. The real issue is who is going to be available to coach at a high level? It's not easy finding a good quality coach. If one is out there I think it's worth considering. Truthfully, coach McD and company haven't fully recovered from the Bills 13 second disaster. Maybe the players and fans haven't either... Quote

That was out the window imo No…you don’t hand it to the RB. I would have given Josh the option to stretch the defense on a keeper and if it isn’t there, throw it away. 1 Quote

Dane Jackson STINKS. Bedford had a nice pick, then had a crucial penalty late in the game. THEY STINK. Well I believe they blitzed once in the first half. Your defending Jefferson, the TE and Cook. You're not getting pressure leaving these young guys out to dry. This is the worst Defensive coaching that there is. You can throw stats all you want, but every team knows how to beat us cause we gonna rush fo and not pose a threat. Von Miller and all the moves on Dline will just be a waste if we can't be creative with mixing in blitzes. Look at what the Vikings sent all day long. 1 Quote

(Josh first INT). That final FG would have been the winner 33-30...game ends in regulation. Edited November 13, 2022 by Azucho98 1 Quote

Sargent Hulka Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 I don't like Frazier's schemes. This constant nickel doesn't work. We need to go to a base three linebacker set, with a big, fast, physical OLB on Edmund's right side. Cook would not have had that 81 run TD with a right side LB at home. Also, what good is nickel if you can't even double cover Jefferson the whole game. Frazier needs too be shown the door but McDermott won't do it out of loyalty. Reminds me of Wade Phillips' loyalty to his ST coordinator, that ultimately got him fired. Quote

Did he look like he regressed in the first half of today’s game? What he has done is hit a rough patch and apparently doesn’t have the ***** coaching staff that will reign him in and let him know the easy pass is sometimes the best pass. He’s just been too reckless with the ball the last 10 plus quarters. ...as he has been in the past where he was forcing the ball deep to well-covered receivers. That is the very definition of regression. Allen is back to the Allen we have all yelled at before to take what the defense was giving in front of the sticks. Check it down to your play makers. Let them make a play. He has options underneath that are more than capable of moving the chains. I like Allen, I just don't like the Allen that is impatient and trying to do too much, does not spread the ball around, and tries to force the home run throw. Dorsey needs to figure out how to reign that behavior in the way Daboll must have had to do at other times when Allen showed the same tendencies. Quote

Yes, the decision to go for it on 4th and 2 was bad, and I hated it, but the rb leaking out the backside was wide open, and instead Josh threw it right to a defense. We want to crucify the coaching for having confidence in Allen, it’s Allen that needs to make the best decision on each play…and he’s not. He has completely missed going through his progressions. It's been so bad the last three games that its been the number 1 reason this team is on a 2 game losing streak right now. Allen is not doing his job reading the field. He needs to approach each play with the the goal of moving the chains. He constantly tries the home run ball to much. His throws today were a mixed bag. Diggs one handed catch was a absolute crap throw by Allen. He overthrew him by a mile. Diggs made a unreal catch. Quote

I just disagree with the regression term. I mean, Josh will turn the ball over now until the time he retires that will piss us off and point to when he was young. Favre also did a lot of that. Regression to me is that he does not have what he has shown for the past two plus seasons. I all think we know he still has that. Heck, his first half showed that. He’s just in a funk and I know you are right about Dorsey and McDermott. Time for them to point out to Allen that he is hurting the team with these decisions. Time for some tough love. I have no doubt Allen will get back on track if that happens. He needs a blunt talking to that he doesn’t have to make an eye popping play every time he drops back. T master Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Those 3 extra points instead of going for it on 4th down would have been imperative at the end of the game for sure & would have maybe installed a bit more confidence . Quote
Cray51 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Coaching staff cant go out on the field and bat down the ball on 4th and 18. Coaching staff can't go out on the field and stop the muffed snap. Coaching staff cant tell Allen to take the play up the middle in OT rather than throwing behind Davis for the INT. You can even go further, Coaching staff cant get Poyer/White/Elam/Hyde healthier. They are working with 2 5th round CBs and a 7th rounder. And the Bills have lost 3 games by a COMBINED 8 points. In an alternate reality we are 9-0. Its unfortunate, but this team is just making mistakes when it hurts the most. And we havent been healthy since week 2. 2 Quote
