Because a QB sneak from one inch beyond the goal line has two very likely results: safety or TD for the defense. You have to take the safety there and run ten seconds off the clock.

We couldn’t stop Jefferson. They have the ball with thirty some seconds and one timeout. I don’t like those odds. The most likely result of the QB sneak should be picking up a yard or at least a few inches. A safety or TD shouldn’t be very likely. This o line can’t run sneaks, haven’t been able to for a few years. Taking that into account, you are right.

This is what happens when you don't take a ***** field goal on 4th and 2.

It's more the insubordination of Allen to send the FG team back off, after doing jack and ***** with 2nd and 2 and then 3rd and 2.
