There was never an injury. Media made it up.

He didn't practice wednesday or Thurday and was limited friday.

Why would the Bills sit him out of preparation for the vikings if the media made it up?

So anytime a player holds his arm he is injured?

He had A injury but it was probably not as severe as the media speculation about it was.  My guess is mostly nerve pinching that may have been throughout the week with swelling or something. He may even have some micro tearing or something that he is going to tough out.

Nobody knows what injury he has/had except the people around Josh and his doctors. Josh had something though.  He didnt practice all week long.  He had taping and a compression sleeve type thing for his arm.  This isnt staged crap to try and fool the Vikings.

Adam Schefter says he is starting:

Sources: Bills' Josh Allen to be active, expected to start vs. Vikings

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will be active Sunday despite his ulnar collateral ligament injury and the belief is he will start against the Minnesota Vikings, sources told ESPN on Saturday.

Bills officials, however, have been tight-lipped all week and have declined to reveal who is starting and want to keep it secret until after Sunday's NFL actives/inactives list is released at 11:30 am ET. Bills officials spent intensive time this past week leaning on and listening to their doctors and other arm specialists, and the team was reassured that Allen is not at any added risk to make the injury worse if he plays Sunday against the Vikings, sources said.

I hope this means his elbow injury isn’t as bad as first reported.

Hopefully, the training staff vetted the injury well enough.  I hope Josh isn’t pushing himself too hard.

To psyche Minny out. Take the coverage off the Jets loss.  Get the rest of team motivated.

Notice Spencer Brown is back. His back up was the one that got beat on the injury.

Or... Josh could have went the Jim Kelly route when he angrily called out his OLine, namely Ballard...  That's not JA17's style. Going the more passive aggressive route with the team is better here, IMO.

Maybe coming this close to getting their dear leader killed will get the team's mind right.

Maybe this motivates the team?

They ain't the "Bickering Bills" anymore...

He never had a UCL sprain, or if he did it was Grade 1 which is micro-tearing and no loss of stability.

The media speculation went wild and McD let them do so for strategic reasons.

I think this was all Ulnar nerve neuropraxia which basically means Allen really whacked his funny bone.

Look at the evidence 1 - no direct hit on the elbow, it was a torque injury when he was moving the arm forward. The ulnar nerve runs on the inside of the elbow and gets stretched in that position so when he took the shot it got stretched even more

2 - the physical evidence during the game showed Allen shaking his arm and clenching his fist. Just like when you bang your funny bone and the pain shoots down the nerve into the hand

3 - He dirted the first throw after the hit. That’s because he couldn’t grip the ball (the ulnar supplied a lot of the muscle in the palm along with pinky finger and half the ring finger),

4 - On the next throw he uncorked a BOMB that hit Gabe Mr Inconsistency Davis right in the dome. He got the nerve function back

So what happens when you really whack the funny bone? It hurts like hell, you can get some inflammation and basically need to rest the arm, which JA did by not practicing. Doesn’t hurt that he’s a f’n cyborg and heals fast.

So, Dr. Chao, “Doctor” Kyle Trimble, Dr. Thighdoc or whatever were all 100% speculation based on nothing but erroneous media reports because the Bills revealed NOTHING. That’s some Belichik level gamesmanship and kudos to McD for keeping it quiet while it played out.

Doesn't mean he’s playing he could be emergency backup tomorrow

Or,just the "regular" backup. I don't even know if the NFL allows the 3rd,emergency QB designation.

you think Allen will be in uniform , active for the game and be the backup? Surely you can't be serious

Brown would probably have been beat, too. Huff's speed is crazy. Quessenberry needed help, and so would have Brown, whose pass protection is not a strong suit, at least not yet.

It took all the focus away from how terrible they all were vs the Jets

No reporters were asking anyone why they let The Jets offense look fully functional for the first time under Zach Wilson.

Or why we can’t run the ball.

So a chance to regroup, win, and move along.
