McConnell's Kentucky is one of the welfare capitals of the country.  Of course he is going to support another federally funded infrastructure project in his own state.  Kentucky receives 215% more federal funding than they pay in.

This isn't some great "bipartisan" plan.  It's Kentucky with their hand out, like usual.

Not sure what the problem is here. This is what actual congressional negotiations look like. Has it been so long since we’ve seen them that nobody recognizes them anymore? Just two weeks ago you’all had your hair on fire because these same people were voting in lockstep for a multi-TRILLION dollar spending bill that none of them had read. Now we’re upset because they’re taking their time on an issue that’ll set the course for a two year agenda? Come on people!

The post wasn't talking about politicians taking the opportunity to glad hand over pork barrel handouts regardless of party affiliation.

It asked for examples of other side of the aisle politicians, specifically senators, doing it with Trump.

Again, we'll wait.

pretty much the entire red southern state voting block meets that criteria.  And they're the first to yell socialism when social programs that don't benefit them directly are proposed.

First Step Act of 2018 is one for criminal justice changes.

And your criteria isn't necessarily showing great Republican "bipartisanship" as you seem to believe.  Trump was also as partisan as it gets, and tried to withhold emergency federal funding because it was to a Democratic state.  So it wasn't always Democrats refusing to work with him, though it obviously goes both ways there entirely too often.

Both parties are garbage, everyone knows  they're garbage, yet we sit here and argue about whose garbage smells better.  And we draw lines over who has the best garbage while the parties are the same damn thing painted different colors.

It shows the GOP can't even govern themselves, let alone make laws for the country. They are a disaster

Again the tweet that I posted and agreed with is specifically against bipartisanship.  Both parties suck.  One plays to win for the woke commie and the other plays to capitulate and apologize for how the woke commies characterize them.

I have no use for either one.

They aren’t even close to the same. The extreme of the D’s is Bernie. MTG for the R’s. Couldn’t be more ideologically different

Well we’re not that far removed from a whole bunch of people worried about authoritarian rule later on applauding an armed raid on a former president, and congress force feeding the release of private tax information under the banner of freedom.

Crazy times.

If McCarthy is not elected Speaker today , a person outside Congress could be nominated . I wonder if DeSantis would want the job.

Just like we're not that far removed from a whole bunch of people who supposedly hate Commies worried about the second amendment and the right to own as many guns as they wish and sell them freely later on getting all pissy over an arms dealer being traded for an American being detained in Putin's Communist Russia.

Who cares about public?  Is that really the requirement now?  And again, we have no idea if that would be a Democrat or a Trump thing, because Trump wouldn't give Democrats credit for anything they did do.  The dude was an "expert" on everything, the "best" at everything, and took credit for everything he could, even if he wasn't involved.  I doubt his partisan hack ego could allow them to show up together.

McCarthy is a uniparty RINO. He has done nothing the last 2 yrs.  Never spoke out against the Jan.6 committee holding political prisoners for 2 yrs. Has never said a word about the raid on Trump and former cabinet members, let alone private citizens who happen to be conservatives.

Never speaks out against any of the asinine spending of the Dems or the deliberate invasion of our borders. The list goes on.

He takes dirty money and is nothing more than McConnell Jr.

Just when you thought the 2020 Presidential election, all of the bogus court cases being thrown out and the 2022 midterm election debacle weren't enough losing, in comes the GOP to provide MORE entertainment at the expense of Kevin McCarthy!

Andy, glad to see you’re ok.  We had the brief exchange the other day about Republican’s treating Santos with the Biden model and then poof, you were gone.

Hi Leh-nerd. I’m here and fine. I’m more of a reader than poster. I enjoy your responses. It’s nice that people with unlike minds get to hash out issues here.

Again no need for hand waving.  Here is the tweet you responded to asking for examples of any dem senator appearing with Trump to tout his economic plan?

Like most leftists you're assuming I am defending Trump and then go off reservation.  I'm not.  He's a narcissistic, blowhard.  Just looking for bipartisan examples.

Like Biden/McConnell.
