Sean Payton has the same win pct as mcdermott and lost some playoff games in incredible fashion while having a HOF QB. How s he an upgrade?

He may not be an upgrade. It was only a suggestion. My point is it might be time to consider changing after this season.

No thanks.

No necessarily. Especially if you have a franchise Qb like Allen. Look at what Daboll has done in NY.

Respectfully, this is a ridiculous opinion. This place is like chicken little after a loss. We have lost 2 games this year by a combined 5 points. It hurts that they are division losses, but the Jets and Dolphins are legit and the Bills got beat. It happens. You think the Pegula's are gonna dump the best coach in franchise history because they lost to the Jets?

Exactly, didn’t most on here say the same thing about the Jacksonville game last year and look what happened after that. Too many knee jerk fans on here. One loss and it’s chicken little the sky is falling.

And what makes you think Payton would come here?? He’s already said his next team would have to be a warm weather team. That’s not us also he lives in LA and from what I’ve heard he wants the chargers job. And will probably take that if offered. Also why would you want Payton?? Did you not see how badly he screwed over the saints salary cap wise??

I meant to use him as an example not necessarily as an absolute. However, he's very creative offensively and he's pretty aggressive on offense. He has experience and I think a mold like him is a welcome addition to Buffalo. I'm getting a little worn out by the McD/Fraizer show. Sure McD good and better than most coaches. I don't dispute that. Just kind of feels like he can't get us there...Just a personal feeling and I don't try to say that's fact based. Perhaps, the 13 second blunder still lingers. Perhaps it's the years of seeing and expecting the worst. Yesterday, certainly brings back the past. Almost PTSD like.

If the Bills fail to make a deep playoff run (assuming they get there) I wonder how hot the McD seat gets?

bring him into Buf as a QB coach. let him lick his wounds. keep him in the fold, if Dorsey flops he can supplant. if Dorsey walks he can fill in.

This is all crazy talk… Dorsey will be fine… this happens to us every year we get into a 2 or 3 game slump then we somehow manage to get back to our old self’s

What an idiotic statement. I’m sorry but that’s just pure stupidity. Let’s get rid of the coach who’s made us relevant after being doormats for how many years.

I get that and no doubt there is validity to your statement. I'm not so sure it's so outlandish. Sometimes changes result in progress. Let's wait and see how the team plays and the season plays out.

I'm not suggesting that at all. I'm not overreacting to the Jet loss. Im not saying get rid of McD because the Bills lost to the Jets.

I'm saying if the Bills fall woefully short this year is it time to consider coaching changes? Is Coach McD the new Marty S? Will a coaching change jump start the team? Are there a viable coaches out there to replace Fraizer, Dorsey, or McD?

I would love it if he ended up in Buffalo.

Next years offensive assistant.

Then QB coach when Dorsey gets a HC job.

Then OC when Brady gets a HC job.

Yes.

I think it might be time to consider coaching changes in Buffalo. Not mid season but after this year especially if the Bills under perform. Coach McD is good but sometimes a change is needed. Same goes with Fraizer. The Bills seem to be unable to get over the hump. I'm thinking someone like Sean Payton. I know it's a premature discussion.

Sean Payton has had Drew Brees for almost his entire career and hasnt done anything McD hasnt done since 2009.

HACKet is only lasting longer because they JUST signed him, if this was his 3rd year, he’d be gone too.

Dorsey may still get looks this off-season, we’ll see what the rest of the year looks like.

Dorsey isnt getting any looks.

They should have actually tried to draft a QB instead of just going with old retreads every year.

They did.  They drafted Ehlinger!

Again Payton ain’t coming here. And if Pegula fires McD especially after he’s had back to back multiple playoff appearances then that will only hurt us more and would make high profile coaches not want to come here.

I think high profile coaches would be salivating to come to Buffalo.

Feel bad for Frank.  Rough hand dealt with those Qbs.  Man , has anyone aged more than Frank other than the president ?  Job has taken a toll on him.  Seems like time to go enjoy family and his salary etc.    I will  never forget the comeback , resulted in a trip to Pasadena and first super bowl I was lucky to attend (52-17 and watching Frank play most of that game tho took some of the luster off!), and hope that comeback record always stands.  Best wishes,, thanks for the great memories.

Ryan was never a high profile coach. He took mangini’s jets teams to the afc championship and after that the team fell apart and he couldn’t adjust

When you have a franchise QB like Allen trust me they will be lining up.

Really then humor me and tell me what High profile coach is available and is willing to go to Buffalo?
