Lot of speculation that Cook is inactive, can't see that happening.  Just wondering if they are using Duke as "insurance", in case something unlikely happens pregame (ie: injury).  Or perhaps someone came down sick today, that we don't know about.

For Rhodes, Elam is very very likely out.  I'm wondering if both Rhodes and Tre dress.  Both these guys haven't played in a full NFL game in quite a while.  They have 1 extra game day roster spot, by dressing just 8 DL.

Could be because Elam is out.

I’m thinking Cook is going to be inactive

Cook? Can’t see it. Could see someone like Jones inactive. Yes he’s a special teamer, but he did have that awful fumble against Pittsburgh.

Doesn’t anyone recall the Bills will elevate a player from PS randomly to show them “appreciation” but likely not make the player active

No, it’s clear the coaches have been reading TSW and decided to play Duke to see if it’s really the RBs or OL that sucks. Judging by TSW, it’s both.

Sounds like maybe there’s gonna be more emphasis on the run and short pass game if Duke ends up active. Would make sense with Keenum or if they don’t want Allen throwing 30 yard lasers and he’s forced to take it easy

Factor in the 17 game season and soon to be 18 game season plus the additional wild card seed and there is less urgency to get players back out there immediately.

The NFL believes in player safety.  :D

Duke elevation:

1. one of the RB’s or Kumerow is sick

2. “Appreciation” elevated but inactive

3. Hines large O role, Duke Punt Return

My take is less #6
