No, but if the kicks are longer than 35, they may end up outside the uprights, which means they no good. It's not that difficult to understand , really.

Ooo so an If and a may.

all kickers can end up outside the uprights. I know it is a difficult concept they miss at times.

Well hey Josh has had seemingly a couple of bad games too & thrown a INT or 2 in the last 3 or 4 games let's get rid of him too while were at it . They pay these guys all this money to play a game & they don't produce like robots WTH is wrong with these guys !!

GUT THE TEAM THEY SUCK !!!! 🙄

Not sold on Bass completely but I dont think you can do better on the street.  Not going to blame him for the loss for not hitting a 55 yarder.  In today's game you do need to hit from that distance but we should not expect 100%.

In both our losses this year (both by 3 or less), Bass has missed some gettable field goals. There was zero wind today, and the miss against Miami was from 30-odd yards if I recall correctly. There were also a few close games last year where he missed field goals.

It just seems to me that he is a factor in all our close losses. Kicking field goals and PAT's in blow outs is not that critical.

We need a kicker to be good in the close ones.

Not calling for his head, and the loss today is not necessarily on him but I am concerned as I think this is becoming a pattern.

While there at it scan every practice squad for a real running back. I’m tired of these twig looking backs we got there hot garbage.

This is your thoughts after watching game? Lol

Yeah I know...maybe I should start a 6th thread on Josh, a 4th thread on our WR's or a 3rd thread on McD and Frazier.

Sheesh.

And for the record, at NO POINT did I advocate that we replace Bass NOW. I only asked if it was time to CONSIDER a change - perhaps in next years draft.

55-yarder is no gimme.

More bothered by the kick out of bounds— his second of the year.  I think they have him really try to sky those and place them in a precise spot— juice may not be worth the squeeze.

Why is an out of bounds kick off the same penalty as roughing the passer ?

When the ball is kicked out of the end zone it's placed at the 25, kick off out of bounds goes to the 40. Same as RTP 15 yards.

He's practicing the kick he didn't do in KC.  I don't know what to make of Bass. The 2 out of bounds are inexcusable. Missing a 55 yarder will happen but there's going to come a time when we're going to need him to nail a long game winner.

It's not a 15 yard penalty, it;s where the ball is spotted. It was never a touchback, so the 25 yard line has nothing to do with it. The ball is spotted at the 40 unless it goes out of bounds before the 40, then it is spotted there.
