SydneyBillsFan Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 (edited) In both our losses this year (both by 3 or less), Bass has missed some gettable field goals. There was zero wind today, and the miss against Miami was from 30-odd yards if I recall correctly. There were also a few close games last year where he missed field goals. It just seems to me that he is a factor in all our close losses. Kicking field goals and PAT's in blow outs is not that critical. We need a kicker to be good in the close ones. Not calling for his head, and the loss today is not necessarily on him but I am concerned as I think this is becoming a pattern. Edited November 6, 2022 by SydneyBillsFan 2 5 7 8 2 2 Quote
MAJBobby Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Shouldn’t your top end Offense and MVP Candidate QB put up more than 17 points? Maybe start there before slamming Bass for missing a kick 3 3 Quote
Big Turk Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 No. I'm more concerned by the idiotic kick out of bounds 6 2 1 Quote

More bothered by the kick out of bounds— his second of the year. I think they have him really try to sky those and place them in a precise spot— juice may not be worth the squeeze. 1 8 Quote
yall Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Yeah, 55 yards is "gettable" but at that distance it's probably less than 50/50. Don't throw stupid picks, stop the run and you don't need to hope someone hits a long ball to tie the game. 1 1 Quote
Southern_Bills Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Missed a 55 yarder, score more than 14 on offense. 2 Quote
LeGOATski Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Seems like more of a symptom than a cause... You don't fix anything by replacing a historically solid kicker. 2 Quote
Bangarang Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 It’s probably too early for that but I wouldn’t be opposed to it at some point. There’s really nothing special about Bass. Today wasn’t his first blunder of kicking it off out of bounds. It really shouldn’t happen, ever. 1 1 Quote

Franco_92 Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 Today was the second time in his career (since he stabilized his rookie year) that I've wondered how long he'll be around. Quote
SCBills Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 No .. but I’m not really super confident in him at the moment. Quote

Yeah allowing them to run the ball down the field from their own 4 yard line is inexcusable 2 Quote
