Bottom line--- what happened to the team that was the SB favorite, and beat KC and Baltimore on the road?

They played a run first team that has a great defense.  See the Titans game from last year or the Patriots game from last year.  Not that we can't win those games but the frequency in which we allow a loss/get beat in those games is frightening.

Groot was injured...not sure if he came back in...ankle injury. ANOTHER ONE.

Fire the dude taping up ankles...this is ridiculous

Maybe they use the elastic wrap with those little metal pins.

The defense was playing soft against the Packers because all we needed to do was not give away quick scores. Today we were down four key players - five once Rousseau went off.

The offense is the big question but sadly it shows how reliant we are on Josh. When his game is off we have no one to pick up the slack. And his game has been off since the fourth quarter last week.

I thought Von was invisible in this game, save for a good play or 2.

I watch him a lot.  He doesn't even play defense; he is just a pass rush specialist.

He tries his move, it fails 99% of the time (like everyone else's) and he is ridden out of the play and by then the ball is gone.  He then jogs at 1/4 speed toward the ball but almost never actually re-enters the play.

That's what he's basically doing, when he's actually on the field.  A lot of the time he is not.

Then suddenly he blows up a DE and gets a dramatic sack (none today) and the announcer says "Wow he's dominating out there!"

You know, I want to disagree with what you are saying. But it’s hard to.

You are seriously suggesting sitting him? Man I love this message board after a loss-it is WILDLY entertaining the dumb things people say!!😂😂😂

But just for one quarter like he’s some redshirt sophomore that missed curfew. It’s a spectacular galaxy brain take

do you see that’s NOT what I’m saying.  it would be 8 quarters at that point.  And I’m not saying bench him, I’m saying take him out for a quarter to reset if the first half bs Minny looks like his last 6 quarters.  Something is mentally off with him.

How does taking him out of the game help his mental game?

Hamlin was one of the few bright spots today, are you kidding. Might stop posting, too many that don’t know the game.

what was bright? The td run when get pushed back into end zone 10 yards? Or the missed tackles? A few good hits don’t cut it. He and Johnson are way too slow recognizing plays.

I don't fault the D on this one.  Back 7 are really banged up and playing replacements.  Plus they gave up only 20 points.

This loss is on our offense.  For the second straight game the 2d half offensive performance has not been very good.  Josh seems to be less accurate than usual.  Your thoughts on why.  Is it poor mechanics? Good coverage?

It was a penalty and should have been called.  The db holds him, doesn’t track the ball, and it impedes the ability to catch the ball.

I understand the perspective that one call doesn’t win or lose a game, and the Jets were the better team today.   Still, when you’re not playing up to your standards, and things aren’t going right, it absolutely does not hurt when a call is made that should  be made regardless of what point of the game you are in.

Luck matters in the game as well.

I agree with your point that it looked like DPI, but it looked to me like there was a case for a pretty good push off by Gabe as well 🤷‍♂️

The Zebras either call that stuff or they don't.  Since they hadn't been calling that stuff earlier in the game, I can't beef that they didn't give Gabe the DPI there.

I was pretty unhappy about the hold.  I thought the Zebras weren't calling holding on the Jets OL all game so it was a pretty influential spot to start.

Keenum does have a rapport with Diggs 😆

Gabe disappears for long periods and is just not consistent.  Yeah, he makes some big plays, but I'd take consistency, which is what you need out a WR2, more than just a deep threat any day.

This team has not been very sharp since the bye week.

There were some sloppy play and turnovers even before that, but some solid games too.

I think defenses are figuring out some ways to bottle up the offense that Dorsey likes to run and making the games more difficult.

We have shored up the soft middle of the DL we had last year, but now regularly give up chunks of rushing yards outside the tackles.

Nothing is a given in this league and this team needs to focus on improving their fundamentals and understand they are going to have to go out and win the hard way.

This is where McD has to step up and rally his coaches and the vets on the team lead by example.

It seems like after halftime whatever adjustments are being made are not being countered very well by Dorsey.

3 points the last two weeks in the second half each game.

Bills have moved the ball at will in the first halves and struggled in the second.

I think they'll get it figured out but it's frustrating.

I do! The Jets ran the ball nine times on their last drive and didn't even LOOK like they wanted to pass, and they still couldn't sniff a stop.

Maybe they should start gameplanning with someone other than Josh running the ball. This usually slows down the rush. They even went away from bubble screens and underneath throws. The Jets made adjustments at halftime and took away Josh runs. Every team we play will go to school on the they defended us.

Josh threw a terrible screen to McKenzie in the second half. We were lucky to get out of that without a huge loss.

I am not a huge footwork guy. But it looks like Josh’s drop back has been a lot wider/longer the last two weeks. Same with his base when he throws. Wasn’t that something he worked on his first two years as a rookie? Looks like it might be back.
