Billsfan1972 Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 I know a challenge flag can't be thrown in the last 2 minutes, but that was an Int from the angles I saw. My guess is only on a change of possession is a booth review done, though I thought there was one (and they do) on receptions. 1 2 Quote
78thealltimegreat Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 I agree with you it looked like he had his hands under the ball I have no idea why they didn’t get a booth review 2 3 Quote
Virgil Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Tip of the ball 100% hit the ground 21 1 1 Quote
MAJBobby Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 The first angle was the best. Looked like the tip of the ball hit the ground and aided in the catch. i think that is one of those plays that the review would have ended with “the call on the field stands”. Not confirmed. Meaning not enough either way to overturn it. but Honestly I think the got the call right. 1 7 1 Quote

Either way, don’t know why there wasn’t an official booth review, just to make sure. Quote
SoCal Deek Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 You beat me to the thread. I think he caught the ball and I didn’t think the tip of the ball hitting the turf meant anything anymore if his hands were under the rest of the ball and under control. But that’s the whacky modern NFL for ya. 1 Quote
Bruffalo Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Great effort but the ball tip pretty clearly hits the turf before Milano gains control. 2 2 2 Quote

Billsfan1972 Posted October 31, 2022 Author Posted October 31, 2022 Yes, my understanding is if your hands are under and the ground didn't affect possession then the tip can hit the ground, which was the case. More so the fact there wasn't a review was perplexing. Quote

Big Turk Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 There likely was and the booth saw the tip of the ball hit the ground...very close, but it appeared pretty conclusive it barely hit the ground before he vacuumed it in. The booth does reviews like this a lot and has started to do them during the game to help officials as well...they did a booth review and messaged the officials to overturn that GB catch and ruled an incompletion after discussion. I think if the entire ball and bounced off his hands and into his chest it would have been a pick, but if even a part of the ball hits the turf on the bounce it should be incomplete. Quote
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Little black bits popped up where the ball hit the ground. 2 Quote
Draconator Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 I'm just shocked that the OP didn't think we needed to trade 3 1st round picks for a backup RB or safety. 2 Quote
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 clearly an incomplete pass...the ball hit the ground as the replay showed. Quote
Dopey Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 If it’s the play I’m thinking of, that was a helluva play by Edmunds on coverage and creating the possibility of an interception. 1 1 Quote
