Just because those teams, Dallas, Minnesota, and San Francisco, could make it to the Super Bowl out of the NFC doesn't mean the NFC is better at the top.  All of those teams, plus the Eagles would be underdogs to the Bills or Chiefs.  So, no, the NFC is not better than the AFC at the top, they just have more parity.

Agree.  The Eagles might be on a par with the Bills and Chiefs but the Cowgirls, Vikes and Niners are on about the same level as the Ravens and Titans.

Eagles, Chiefs, and Bills (in any order) are at the top of the NFL right now. There's a significant drop-off at #4 with parity, inconsistency, and mediocrity ruling the day. That tells me AFC is better than NFC at the top.

The Bills let Green Bay run because they didn't want to get beat deep by Rodgers, so they stayed in Nickel.

Oh.

I would say that the Nickel is their base scheme, and that everything builds off that. There’s no real “heavy set” to the defense. I’d much rather have Taron Johnson on the field than Dodson. It’s a liability against the zone run schemes, but I’d still rather have the best 11 guys on the field.

I kind of agree, to a point. I think pre-season I'd have maybe had 1, maximum 2 NFC teams in my top 8 teams in the NFL.

Now I think there is a clear top 2: Buffalo and Kansas City.

I think the Eagles probably have to be considered next. And then there are about 5 teams that I think are similar level - Baltimore, Miami, Minnesota, Dallas, San Fran... and that gets me to 8 and suddenly I have it 4 and 4.
