Allen is at his best when he is willing to check it down, throw the ball away, and play smart football. He has played that way in the past with tremendous results.

Sorry; but that's not what separates Josh Allen from other QBs.  He's Josh Allen because he can make something out of nothing, because he has an uncanny way to extend plays and the majority of the time, he makes those plays.  Tonight, he made some incredible plays by extending the play, and he also made some obvious mistakes.  It happens, but it's how he plays the game, and he will also be the first to tell you that while he agrees he made some bad decisions, he's not going to change his game for the sake of MJS or anyone else.

Sorry, but boneheaded interceptions are never permissible. Josh Allen will be the first to tell you that.

He has the ability to play smart football and usually does. That has in no way taken away from his explosiveness or awesome plays. It actually adds to it.

That won’t happen in a close game…It really seemed like to me that they tried to rein in his scrambling with a big lead and it messed with his rhythm …int 1 he could’ve easily ran for a first down.

int 2 looked like a throwaway and jaire Alexander made a great play.  I wouldn’t expect josh to make a habit of either of those things

normally when a play breaks down josh tries to make something happen with his legs if nothing is open downfield.  This game he took some risks with his arm trying to go for the knockout punch

He literally has changed his game every single year and gotten better and better by eliminating more and more of those high risk, bad decision plays. The big, special plays he makes are not bad decisions or risky plays. You are just wrong.

Everything he has been working on has been those fundamental QB things like checking it down, reading defenses, distributing the ball to the correct receiver, etc. He shows he is willing to change to do those things.

Yes, he makes special, amazing plays. Those aren't the plays that he puts the ball at risk or makes a bad decision. Those are the plays that he makes the right decision and backs up those decisions with his natural ability and skill.

He's made a ton of across-the-field throws running to his right and throwing left (which is risky); he just got picked tonight by a good reach back by the DB.  The 2nd pick he was trying to throw it in the ground and the DB made a hell of a play.   You say the big, special plays he makes are not bad decisions or risky plays, but you only say that because those plays are successful.  He, like Mahomes, possess the talent to make the high risk look routine.  But high risk at times leads to bad outcomes - it happens.  You are acting like this a trend with him or something.
