Davis, Knox, shakur, singletary, moss…

Lets look at this reasonably.

Davis......rode the pine his first year, started to develop last year, now a starter.

Knox.....1st year struggles are WELL known 2 TD's.  He bottomed out a little bit his 2nd year, 3 TD's, had a great year last year, 9 TD's.....and doing so so this year.

Shakir.....well skippy of you think he is having a breakout year this year you have at it.  In REALITY he isn't.  He is being spoon fed the NFL like Sean always does.

Singletary.....here are his stats 2019, 12 GP - 151 touches 775 yds, 2020 16GP - 156 touches 687 yds, 2021 17 GP 188 touches 870 yards

Moss.....he arrived in 2020 and was assigned to locker room of RB by committee.  He got several starts due to Singletary falling out of favor.

Bottom line - hopefully with the data above you can see the trend.  Avery player above was NOT given free reign as a rookie.

Oh and that game last nite.....that Cook kid?  He ain't too bad no???

Facts....they sux but they don't Avery lie.

The original statement was that McD does not play rookies. There was never a question of them dominating. And your wrong anyway - Davis for example got 50% of the snaps from the get go. He played 100% in week 5 of his rookie year and was always at or above 50%. Same goes for Knox he was at 50%+ from day one. Singletary and Moss were playing from day one. Shakir is the one with the least PT and he is even getting around 25% of snaps.

Cook has had 25+ only twice. The guys above mostly were above 25% or even 50% every game as rookies. This is about Cook not McD not wanting to play rookies. Many rookies got a ton of snaps for him. Leaving the guys out I already mentioned...we started two rookies at CB much of this season, Brown and Ford as rookies played.

I think it was a really good sign that Cook got several drives to spell Motor, and actually produced. Hopefully this is a trend moving forward.

Cook Rookie Game Log

Motor Rookie Game Log

Moss Rookie Game Log

Knox Rookie Game Log

Davis Rookie Game Log

Shakir Rookie Game Log

There is no way you compare these rookies and can say McD does not play rookies and brings them along slowly. Cook has far less playing times than any of the others. Skakir is the only one even close and he is deeper on the depth chart and was borderline to even make the roster vs being a guy expected to contribute by many people.

Should've just gotten McCaffrey:cry: Would've loved seeing him throw that TD he threw to Josh Allen:wub:

Amazingly (insanely), we actually had fans on this board argue that CMC wouldn’t have upgraded our RB position.

The Cooks must be so pissed that Dalvin has been stuck in Minnesota all these years.

Seriously though, do you believe anything some random person posts on the interwebs? For crying out loud.

There's one person I set as ignore. Guess who? Yep, Flucod. Makes life here a lot better.

Got to admit, I'm a bit puzzled with Beanes steadfast determination to trade for a big name RB these last few weeks.

Seems like the bigger issue to address is oline, which by default would improve run blocking for the backs we already have. But then again most teams aren't going to part ways with starting caliber NFL guards unless they get a kings ransom in return, even those already waving the white flag and looking ahead to 2023.

How many Offensive Linemen got traded?  Zero.

Why? Because teams don't have enough of them and aren't willing to part with the ones they have.

And that's pretty much what I said.

Starting NFL olinemen are a premium asset and no smart team is going to get rid of them even in a firesale and/or rebuilding situation.
