SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 63* years ago. Bills’ all time record is 454-493-8. At the rate we’re going the team will be an overall winning franchise in about 5-6 years. 3 1 Quote

My grandparents in ‘58, bought a large parcel in WNY southern tier for $20g. Use to think, man, they could have bought the Bills franchise. Silly, I know, but, am so glad Ralph stepped up. 1 Quote

gjv Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 One could argue that Ralph Wilson's commitment 63 years ago to the day, has played a major role in keeping the lights on in WNY. 2 1 Quote

Old Coot Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Ralph originally wanted a franchise in Miami to be called the Seahawks but the stadium (the Orange Bowl I think) was tied up to U Miami. A Bufflo sports writer suggested Buffalo and the rest is history. The Detroit Lions won the NFL title in 1957 and were Ralph's favorite team so the Bills colors for the first season or so were the Lions' colors: Honolulu Blue and Silver. Buffal had a team in the ols All American Football League from 1946-49. The first year the team was called the Bisons, the traditional name for Buffalo sports teams. Ther team then ran a contest and "Bills" emerged the winner (after Buffalo Bill). The AAFL folded after the 1949 season and the NFL took in some of the AAFL teams (including the Cleveland Browns). Buffalo's application to join the NFL was not accepted. 1 Quote
jaybills Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Here's to Josh and Co. getting to 500 wins before 500 losses as a franchise. 46-6 record. 😬 1 Quote

I don't anticipate we'll be underdogs very often with #17 behind center anymore. Quote
K D Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Tom Brady has been playing for 1/3 of the entire existence of the Buffalo Bills franchise 1 1 Quote
