I understand that. Watching in person the shadow is still annoying. Again it's not about the cameras it's about the shadow

I'm just saying it will continue to get much less annoying as the ability to manipulate the apparent contrast ratio continues to improve. And it's really only an issue on sunny days, and since Buffalo only averages 54 sunny days per year (mostly in the summer) you've got that going for ya!

No stadium will satisfy pro-dome people (domers? DOoMERs? dome heads?).

Did you just make this up or have you always been this wrong?

This is such an obsession that that as soon as someone mentions dome I discount opinion.

What a strange and ignorant thing to say.

The Tottenham one looks like an actual roof structure too at the base. The Bills stadium looks like they are reusing some car port coverings from an apt complex

I think they are using a see through structure to ensure more natural lighting, and to not make it feel enclosed. Which I like, just wish they overhung about 20-30 more feet. Would make all the difference imo.

I do believe what we see is pretty much what we’re going to get, with maybe a few surprises that they don’t want to disclose yet. But I do believe the awning is pretty much going to be what we see here. I just hope it’s more illusion in the pics and in person appears to be much more.

I want games in the rain and winter without having to be soaking wet in 40* temps.

Sounds like a 25 year old that does beer chugs before the game, jumps through 3 flaming tables in pajamas, and then walks into the stadium line 3 minutes before kickoff and wonders why he isn’t in his seats for the national anthem and flyover which happened when he was still doing butt chugs in the parking lot.

He ain’t got not time for softies that don’t want to be out in the elements

Just have to figure out where the fans are in each third and who is included in the 65%. I'm guessing 2/3 of the lower bowl is uncovered.

When we have beautiful September / October Sundays with temps in the mid 70's fans under cover in the new stadium will wax nostalgic about being completely open to the elements in the old stadium.

You can never make everyone happy.

Looks great to me.

I don’t know. I’m very glad that the new stadium process is progressing but man what a let down/meh.

That’s a stadium designed for the drought 7-9 Bills IMO. Not the dynamic, SB Contending team we are today. Examples:

 - Opened air vs domed. The drought Bills needed harsh weather conditions to keep visiting dynamic O’s under control. Now WE have the dynamic O and the weather now impedes us.

 - The tiny scoreboard. That’s great when you’d rather not think about the score because your team struggles to put drives together. But when every drives seems to lead to points, you want that score large and in charge!

- Small, in the corner “large-tron”. Again, more suited for a team you’d really rather not watch replays of (once was usually enough). Now, over and over, I want to see just HOW HIGH did Josh jump! Give me what LA and DAL have!

- Bland exterior/generic interior. More for the “see NFL we met the new minimum stadium standard” drought era Bills vs the “Come watch an amazing show” current Bills.

This seems to be the sensible, sedan-like stadium of the last era of Bills football. I want the 2 seater, 1 gallon / mile Racecar to go with our Racecar team!

But as a sedan driver, it’s easy to say when you’re not paying the Bills! 😅😅

A sleeker version of that without the bulky retractable roof system would look great.

In Buffalo, sitting in the shade the whole game is bad, not good, most of the season.

In Miami?  Not so much.

I have to agree. In the world of architecture, this would be considered a bare minimum presentation for a project of this scale and public interest. Not exactly sure what’s going on here.

What is your opinion of the overall situation, obviously you have questions and have said you don’t know what’s going on.

but how could they mess this up this badly?

renderings obviously could change but would you say this is 99.9% going to be it?

Between the canopy (even if it only covers +/- 60% of the seats), the stacked seat design, the "extensive radiant heating" that will be used, the "wind confusion wrap" (whatever the fook that is), and the rotation of the stadium's orientation to be less affected by wind....

I have a feeling fans will be much more comfortable in the new stadium. It'll be the best of both worlds, with more warmth and cover on gamedays, but also maintaining the outdoor football atmosphere that a stadium in Buffalo should have.

Then again, I'm a hopeless optimist....

I agree, Logic.  At first I was a little underwhelmed by the drawings, but the more I think about it, this design seems to split the difference of the dome vs. open air crowd - in a good way.  It should be infinitely more comfortable than the current stadium, while, first and foremost, maintaining a true outdoor football atmosphere.  As much as I like the idea of the comfort of a dome, I've almost always come away from domed games feeling really negative about the whole in person watching experience.  Domes just feel dark, sterile and lacking in energy.

In my professional opinion this is 100% going to be the design. They’ve been messing around with this thing for way too long for these to be nothing more than what we call ‘eye candy’. Now with regards to the minimal level of images in this release, I don’t have a clue. It’s possible they’re trying to slowly milk the design for the public relations factor and tease them out over time….but I personally think that’s a huge mistake, especially in light of what Tennessee just showed is possible.

It's definitely the most awe inspiring stadium, but it's still better than watching them play 8 games at Rogers Centre!!  :)

I'm not an acoustic expert, but the "canopy" should help focus the sound back towards the field, correct?

People who buy PSLs don't scream on defense.   They use their inside voice.
