gtw3 Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 The Jets (5-2) are playing the Pats (3-4) this week and despite the fact that the Jets are only 1 loss behind us in the W/L column, I cannot force myself to root for the Patriots. Anyone else feel that way? Maybe it is because I still think that the Jets will fall off a cliff here soon, especially after losing Hall. ..here's hoping for a 0-0 tie. 3 1 1 1 1 Quote
Playoffs? Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) After we exorcised the demons last season, the Pats aren’t what they used to be for me. I’m not scared of them, and no longer give them the respect I once did. They’re any other other AFC East team now. I’ll root for them to beat the Jets, knocking them down to 5-3. CSBill Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I don't know why, but I'll pick the Jets. Bonus: That will set them and their insufferable fans up for a huge let-down next week in New Jersey. 1 Quote
Malazan Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Pats. jets fans are already more annoying than pats after winning a couple games. 3 Quote
Rc2catch Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Well according to limeaid I’m secretly a patriots fan who always defends them so I’ll take a tie 😜 1 4 Quote
HOUSE Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) Nice try but I am not watching this game. Zack Wilson vs Mac Jones ? I would rather spend 3 hours at the dentist. . Edited October 27, 2022 by HOUSE 1 9 1 Quote
eball Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I agree with rooting for 3-4 to defeat 5-2, but let’s face it — neither of these teams are in Buffalo’s class so it really doesn’t matter. Let them both implode. 4 1 Quote
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Want the Pats to win. A lot of crap happens in the season and if Josh goes down for 2-3 games with some minor injury I don’t want anyone in striking distance for the division. 5 1 Quote

Greg S Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 The correct answer to a question like this is... "Whatever benefits the Bills". In this case a NE win helps Buffalo. With that said. F*** the Pats and the Jets. 1 Quote

pocoboy Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) Man this is a tough choice. I think you root for NYJ. I'll let you decide all the great reasons why. Actually, no, I'll tell you why: 1) There may be no further demoralization of the NE fanbase than if they were to get their comeuppance by Zach Wilson. 2) If you truly think that the Bills and Jets are in two different classes, guess what happens the following weekend, after Jets fans get all puffed up? There you go, have a nice day. Edited October 27, 2022 by pocoboy 1 1 Quote
LyndonvilleBill Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Going to say the Pat's. Someone talked about it a while back in another thread. Keep them as an average team and draft pegutory. 😁 3 Quote
GolfandBills Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Jets loss would be ideal… just incase something weird happens down the stretch for us Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I'll hope the Pats win to give the Bills a bit of breathing room. Things I'm hoping for in this game: 1. Mac Jones looks good. Let him show just enough to keep the job and thereby keeping the Pats in QB purgatory. 2. Sauce continues to shine. Let him keep showing out...because in a couple weeks Allen and Diggs will give him his official "welcome to the NFL". 3. As a James Robinson fantasy owner I'm hoping for at least a TD from him. 4. Zach Wilson and Mac Jones get into a slap fight after the game. 5. More odd facial expressions from Belichick's kid. 2 Quote
hemma Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 Whichever team is closer to us should be further away. So, I’m hoping the Pats win. 2 1 Quote

Earlier this year he did well going up against Chase and Burrow. Allen and Diggs will make plays, but Sauce will probably play them tough. Unfortunately, the Jets got themselves a really good corner. 1 Quote
