Big Turk Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) Great video breakdown of various ways the Bills DT's are helping the D out. From controlling the LOS and taking on double teams and preventing combo blocks from getting to the LB's, to getting upfield in the pass rush. Daquan Jones has been nothing less than stellar for the Bills, but the other DT's have been playing very well also... Bills causing stalemates at the LOS on a regular basis giving the RB nowhere to go on runs. Edited October 25, 2022 by Big Turk 7 10 10 Quote
US Egg Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 To quote RJ and being Halloween season….. This defense is “scary good”. 2 Quote
Ta111 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Excellent explanation of the importance of the 3 big guys in the middle. They really are key to what the ends and linebackers are able to do. 2 Quote
ColoradoBills Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I hope the poster who said a couple of weeks ago that Jones was "not playing up to his money" watches this. 2 1 Quote
wppete Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Love it! What a bunch of studs we have in the middle!!!! 2 Quote

It was pretty obvious just on TV that Jones was a pillar in the middle, even more so once Phillips and Oliver went down. 2 Quote

You can really see in one of those film clips how much these guys rely upon their ankles 2 Quote
sirebors Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I think this could possibly be the best in-depth evaluation video I've ever watched and I have newfound respect for DaQuan Jones and Leslie Frazier. 2 Quote

That was a great breakdown. How did Beane do that? I know some people don’t like all the attention and resources thrown at the DL, but it is a sight to behold! They make the levels behind them even better! 4 Quote

atlbillsfan1975 Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 DT was the final piece for this D. The middle of the field is so important to protect. I think that’s why the first big FA signing by Beane was to get Star. It didn’t workout so great but now they got the right guys. 2 Quote
freddyjj Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Main reason the Run D is so good. As a result the LBs are able to shoot gaps or scrape above the scrum inside and make clean tackles. 1 Quote
colin Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 its no secret mcd's d is all about a deep and nasty front. the last couple seasons we over paid for jag performance, but we seem to have righted that in one single offseason. diggs allen, and to a lesser extent knox are getting paid hard on O, but so much of our team's resources are on the D. we are one of very few Ds that could take the injuries we have so far this season and performed they way we've seen. 1 Quote

Well, Oliver has clearly not been right since the Rams game. Hopefully he is now back to 100% after the bye, which should make the DL even BETTER. 1 Quote
