buckeyemike Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I prefer this particular brand: Rosati's, a local Cleveland store I know some of you prefer Anderson's, which serves Beef on Weck as well. I can't find Beef on Weck anywhere in Cleveland since Buffalo Wild Wings stopped carrying it a while back. Mike
R. Rich Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I like the gelati w/ egg custard. Good stuff, but they're getting hard to find around Baltimore.
Ghost of BiB Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I haven't much sweet tooth...but I do like ice cream. Goes with beer.
OBXBILLSFAN Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 My problem - and it shows - is that I love them all. I've even been known to put a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream in my Guinness to make a great float.

OBXBILLSFAN Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 See? I told you guys it went with beer. 338857 Ah, beer . . . It's not just for breakfast anymore.
Ghost of BiB Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Ah, beer . . . It's not just for breakfast anymore. 338861 Just remember to flush the IV once a day.

Ghost of BiB Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Guinness? Ugh. What do you call that float, the Jiffy Lube special? 338873 Kind of like having a bourbon and crisco.
Beerball Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Mmmmmmm frozen custard & beer. I think that's where the idea for the rootbeer float came from.
OBXBILLSFAN Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 You guys obviously don't enjoy the finer things in life.
buckeyemike Posted May 18, 2005 Author Posted May 18, 2005 It sounds like some of you would love beer-flavored ice cream. Mike
OBXBILLSFAN Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 It sounds like some of you would love beer-flavored ice cream. Mike 338911 Guinness actually makes a brand of ice cream - but it doesn't taste like Guinness.

stuckincincy Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Spumoni - but you can't get here to my knowledge. IMHO, the Italians are the world kings when it comes to ice desserts.
spidey Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 My answer was based on a decent frozen custard place like we had in Rochester with more than vanilla, choc and flavour of the day like I have here in Raleigh. Otherwise an ice cream joint with 35 flavours is my choice
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Check this place out: it's a chain here in PA that isFAN-tastic. I've often bought the Italian Ice and made vodka drinks with it. Their custratd is really good too.

They have some good Italian ice and their selection of gelati is nice, but they don't sell the egg custard, which is my favorite. My wife loves some of the other flavors they sell, so when we go there, I just get a lemon Italian ice usually.
LewPort71 Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Hibbards Ice Cream in Lewiston...It was a great treat in the summer after Little League baseball...Was $0.25,,,,,,prolly $1.50 now...
30dive Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Abott's in Roch and Kopp's in Milwaukee....Which is better than Abott's.
