JohnNord Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 This came across my timeline. Apparently former Bills DC Walt Corey died today. I’m a little surprised we didn’t hear anything from the Bills. Corey was a former Texas/Chief and coached there for 12 years before coaching in Buffalo. As far as a DC, the Bills defense certainly had their moments. But like a lot of players on the 1994 team, Marv probably kept Walt around as DC a few years longer than he should have. I didn’t realize that after he left Buffalo in 1994, Corey coached the Saint DL under Ditka. 8 Quote

Mr. Wonderful Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 He was DC for some pretty good defenses under Marv Levy. May you and your trademark swizzle stick rest in peace. 1 Quote

BillsfaninChicago Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Really sad to hear that. One of the more memorable coaches for me. I loved how he would have a lucky swizzle stick that he would chew until during each game until the Bills lost. Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 RIP Swizzle Stick. Coached a mean defense. Quote
Bad Things Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I'm sad to hear this. He led some fantastic defenses. Always with that swizzle-stick in his mouth. God bless, Walt. 1 Quote
