BillsSbSoon Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Maybe potential landing spot for Lamar if he hits free agency Quote

They had made the decision they were going nowhere with Ryan and were going to try the young guy even if Ryan's shoulder is fine. They are saying Sam will play the rest of the year regardless. Who came to that decision between owner, GM and HC is interesting to ponder. 1 Quote

mushypeaches Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Gosh, if only the Colts could get their QB situation right after "luck"ing their way into two generational QB's and only having one ring to show for it Quote

He has been really bad. Also would not be surprised if this was coming from Irsay knowing he is dumping Ballard and Reich and wanting to see if he needs to draft a new QB as well. During the Titans game, or straight after it, they decided that they wanted to bench him and try Ehlinger for the rest of the season, no matter what Ryan's injury status was. Quote

He's thrown too many picks yes but he hasn't been really bad Wentz wasnt the issue the year before and Rivers wasn't the year before that It's easy to scapegoat the QB when the staff and FO don't want to own their share of the blame 1 Quote

Coach Tuesday Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Ballard is widely considered one of the 3 best GMs in the league, but he has had a brutal time figuring out the QB position - that said, can't feel bad for them after they lucked into Luck after enjoying Manning in his prime. They had a long, uninterrupted run of fabulous QB play while we were suffering through what they're dealing with now, which is a slew of terrible decisions at the sport's most important position. 1 Quote
Shake_My_Head Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Feel bad for Frank He just seems to roll from one crisis to another. Doubt he makes it through the season. Quote
US Egg Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 So that’s three QB vets teetering towards the end. Definitely going to be more bad QB play for 2023. Quote
H2o Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 This is the smart move, to let Elinger play just like Reich is doing. See what you have in the young guy. They have been trying different retreads for the last 3 years and Rivers was the only one who came close to taking them anywhere. But, you know, Josh Allen happened to them. 1 1 Quote

Captain Hindsight Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Trading for Ryan didn’t really make sense when they did it. What level Of play we’re they hoping to get? He was washed 2 years ago 1 2 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Ha, I picked Ryan up this past week in fantasy while Allen was on a bye...got the W...and I have already cut him too. Quote

Carmel Corn Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Aside from the QB revolving door circus over the past several seasons, one thing that continues to plaque the Colts is their tendency for slow starts week after week. They always seem to be playing from behind, which further challenges their QB and o-line, not to mention taking J. Taylor out of the equation. Slow starts under Frank have been pretty common. Quote
Bangarang Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) Hmmm…the Colts strategy of going from old and/or terrible QB to the next isn’t working!? Who would’ve seen that coming? Any chance Reich comes here when he’s fired and Dorsey becomes a HC? Edited October 24, 2022 by Bangarang Quote
