Pecos Bills Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Goose had a great live album from a 2019 concert at Nietzsche's, and will be back at the Borderland Festival in East Aurora on September 15, also my neck of the woods in June. Awesome jam band.   1 1 Quote
WotAGuy Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Just saw Father John Misty in Ithaca. His concerts are really great. His albums I find boring. He’s definitely on fire when on stage. Great band too. They are one of the few bands that can really fill CMAC with sound. It’s such a big barn, but he commands that huge stage and fills the venue with sound. 1 Quote

davefan66 Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Peter Frampton is going to be in Fallsview Casino on July 29.  A lot of tix left.  Just saw Chicago last night.  Technically, they are really great musicians.  Horn line is smokin’! Drummer is dang good.  Original singer, Robert Lamm still has a great voice but isn’t in the show much, kinda stands in back and plays keyboards. The songs he sings though he does a fantastic job.  My biggest complaints? The lead guitarist is good, but outplays the music. Chicago music isn’t about thrashing solos.  Lastly, the lead singer is decent, can hit the Peter Cetera notes well enough, but doesn’t have the vocal range when singing subtly.  He lives more in the higher pitch.  A really good show, but honestly wouldn’t see them again.  Glad I had the chance to see them finally. The Poojer Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 I am going to attempt to see Taylor in Philly. She's a dynamic performer, plus it's her hometown. Clips of her shows look like it's a lot of fun....even for a creepy old dude like myself  On 4/13/2023 at 5:09 PM, T&C said: Tampa traffic is a mess with the Rays game letting out, a Lightning game tonight... and 3 days of Taylor Swift. LeviF Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 Seeing The Gaslight Anthem next month somewhere in Connecticut. Seen them 6 times but not since their brief reunion in 2018. 1 Quote

Short lines for beer 2. Most of the mens rooms were commandeered for women. Even the mens rooms that weren't re-allocated for women still had a conspicuously high percentage of young women waiting for stalls. I'm not shy but that was a little uncomfortable.  3. 60,000 screaming girls was maybe the loudest thing I have ever experienced 4. I'm not a big fan of her music but the show is pretty amazing. I have never seen a production of that level. 1 Quote
ArdmoreRyno Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 My youngest daughter (goes to Ole Miss) went to the Morgan Wallen concert on Saturday in Oxford (MS). He apparently got so hammered on Saturday, he couldn't do the Sunday concert! Their football stadium was packed Sunday before the announcement. Quote

Joe Ferguson forever Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) We are considering a pilgramage to Nashville in Sept. Â Great line up. https://pilgrimagefestival.com/2023-lineup#/ Â This also looks good. Â St Paul, taz and Yarn are fun https://roosterwalk.com/artist/ Â Merlefest looks awesome as always but probably no chance at tix and definitely no hotel rooms close now https://merlefest.org/lineup/ Edited April 26, 2023 by redtail hawk Quote

Logic Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Scored tickets to both nights of Pearl Jam in Austin, TX in September. One week after that is Billy Strings for two nights in Portland, OR, and I just scored tickets to both of those as well. Shaping up to be a fun week of live music in two great cities with great food! 1 1 Quote
