With the exception of the Chiefs/Niners game, it's a tough break for pro football to have the other three exciting teams all off on the same week.   Minny has been fun to watch, and the Eagles/Bills round out the top, but it seems like there's a real void with Packers, Colts, Chargers, Tampa all very blah blah teams to watch.

I think the Bills are spoiling us, we get used to a high level of play and excitement and most of these prime time game this year have been crappy football.  League should try to build in the flex a little earlier in the season next year so I don't have to watch guys like Russel Wilson embarrass themselves any more.

Yeah it is a stark reminder of how good we have it here when I watch 90% of these other teams play.

Sometimes it just doesn't seem real.

So true about Russel Wilson Webster.  He looks like he has completely forgot how to play NFL QB.  Did you watch the MNF pregame this week?  He also comes off like a coockoo.  I am sure his Seahawk teammates were happy to see him go.

As for this Sunday, the Falcons-Bengals game will be entertaining.  Falcons are playing much more inspired with Matt Ryan finally gone from Atlanta.  I think they will keep it close if not beat the Bengals straight up.  As for the Chargers, they are overrated.  Justin Herbert is turning into a taller Trent Edwards.  And Keenan Allen is always injured.  Where are the gunslingers?  These QB's have big time arms, and a lot of them just dink and dunk.  Between watching Wentz Fields Wilson Ryan, Cousins, Brissett, Bridgewater, etc it just makes you more and more appreciative to have the ultimate gunslinger Josh Allen.

Overall, need I dare say that the NFL is becoming a defensive league again.  Look at the scores of a lot of games, and most are going under.  The college game on the whole is so much more entertaining.  EXCEPT for our Buffalo Bills!!

That Alabama - Tennessee game was crazy last week. The problem with CFB is there are too many blowouts. Even when the game is expected to be close like Michigan and Penn St last week. That was 41-17 Michigan.

It's a perfect weekend to take a break from football.

Although, I probably won't be able to help myself completely...

The prime time slate is absolutely brutal.

Cards-Saints tonight
Steelers-Dolphins Sunday night
Bears-Patriots Monday night

Ever since Josh and Pat reached atomic, world-destroying alien status, all other NFL games suddenly seem quite boring by comparison. These dudes have broken football for me.

At least the Dolphin and Patriots games are relevant to us.  That helps.

Indeed.

Although I expect Bears-Pats to set football back 50 years.

Belichick is gonna absolutely destroy Justin Fields. It's gonna be painful to watch.

Completely agree.  Can’t wait for next week’s talking head chatter claiming the Patriots are back!!!

What are you talking about? Chargers have two of the best players in the league to watch in Sherbert and Bosa:wub: Not to mention our boy Mack...

Options tonight:

Thursday Night Stinker - Saints/Cardinals

Bills/Chiefs replay on NFLN 8:15pm

Sabres/Flames on ESPN 9:30pm

I'll probably catch the first half of the Bills game and then switch to Sabres. And will likely take the weekend off of NFL to go do Fall stuff with the fam.

The early games look pretty bad. Might take a look at the Giants as I haven't seen them much so far. I think the Jags will win that one. Titans/Colts should be interesting too. I guess the Packers game will be interesting purely because we play them next, so I wonder if they'll simplify the offense as Rodgers wants, and if they do will they improve much?

49ers/Chiefs should be good. Hopefully the 9ers can hand them another loss and put them even further back.

I'll also be interested in the Jets and Phins games. The Phins is more intriguing because of Tua coming back. A. will he give them back the spark they had before he went down? B. Will he last the whole game without getting concussed again?

Not even Herbert is playing well this season. You can't schedule Bills v Chiefs every week.

I think Bosa is still out and will be for awhile.    I could be wrong.   So many injuries to keep track.
