The New York Times editorial board has finally admitted that coronavirus-related school closures “may prove to be the most damaging disruption in the history of American education” in a Sunday opinion piece. The editorial, titled “The Startling Evidence on Learning Loss Is In,” reflected on the “significant” learning loss suffered by millions of American children who were kept out of the classroom by lockdown policies, and warned of the lasting impact. “The evidence is now in, and it is startling.

What kind of guilt must a person feel who argued kids should not be allowed back into school and now see the damage you caused, with no benefit to anyone.

The sort of strident Karen’s that argued for continued closures probably feel no guilt at all and will rationalize until the cows come home. Has any single individual said “I was wrong”?

At least with influenza vaccines the CDC and others were transparent about their efficacy.  There was never this BS that if you get the vaccine then you won't get flu.
