Thought he was around 325-330ypg? Not sure but he will have games where he has 250yds then next 350 and as he has shown up to400. I don't see him at 6000, however I do think it's a solid chance to break Brees"s record. 6000 is crazy numbers and would take a LOT of passing attempts and basically no running the ball ever.....

372 is combined passing and rushing.

Kurt Warner was the last to do it in 1999 with the Rams...League MVP, won SB, and was SB MVP.

No QB in NFL History has ever had a 6,000 Total Yard season.

The record is currently held by Drew Brees with 5,562. He had 5,476 passing and 86 rushing.

Peyton Making has the most passing yards in a season with 5,477... 1 more than Brees.

Josh Allen presently has 1,980 passing and 257 rushing,  total 2,237... this is a 17 game pace for 5610+728=6330... shattering the record and on pace for first 6k season ever.

Time will tell if he can do it.  Unfortunately winter weather in Buffalo usually brings decreased offensive stats so he needs to get the numbers up early to carry him into December/January where every game will be outdoor northern winter weather (games in Buf, NE, Chi, Cin).

Won't happen, the turn of weather in Buffalo in late November through the end of the season holds down what Allen's stats would be if he played in a warm or domed climate

Not with that attitude.  Manning and Brady were able to put up over 5,000 yards in Denver and Nazi England.  Maybe we'll get lucky and get the five best days weather wise post October on game days.

You mean except in last year's playoff game?

Right, there was 1 home game out if 5 last year he put up big numbers in Dec/Jan. He did not vs NE (wind), Carolina, Atlanta, Jersey Jets. In fact he failed to reach 250 total yards in 3 of those 4. He threw for 145, 210,  120, 239... 63 rushing vs Jersey put him over 300 but all those still well off the pace.

Not saying you can't put up numbers but the weather can be unpredictable and create poor conditions.

The regular MVP is a curse. The nfl mvp rarely wins the SB.

The regular season MVP has won SB 10 times and 6 won SB MVP

Bart Starr 1966

Terry Bradshaw 1978

*Mark Moseley 1982

*Lawrence Taylor 1986

Joe Montana 1989

Emmitt Smith 1993

Steve Young 1994

*Brett Favre 1996

*Terrell Davis 1998

Kurt Warner 1999

*Did not win SB MVP.

That's 17.9% of the time which is dramatically increased chance to win the SB. Basically NFL has increased playoff teams since the 70s from 10 teams to 12 and now to 14. You have a 1:5.6 chance of winning the SB with the MVP as opposed to 1:10, 12, 14.

Check those years boss. 6 of the happen before the 90s and the last one to do it happened in 1999, 23 years ago! That’s 6 years longer than the Bills playoff drought!

so I’m ok with Allen finishing 2nd in the mvp and winning the SB 😎

1966- Bart Starr

Curious to see if Starr passed for 5,000 yards that year. He fell a little short - 62.2%, 2,257 yards, 14 tds and 3 ints. In fairness to Bart, he only played in 13 games that year and did add 100 rushing yards and 2 tds.

Some nerd out there needs to find a way to translate old stats into the current nfl. Those poor old guys look terrible.
