FilthyBeast
Some bye week discussion here, but was curious what team or teams that are currently below .500 or left for dead will make a big push in the 2nd half? AFC or NFC? My picks is the Raiders. I thought this team was very overlooked coming into the season with everyone else on the Chiefs/Broncos/Chargers bandwagons for good reason, and even though they are sitting at 1-4 right now all of their losses came down to the wire and were games they easily could have won. Team will obviously have a really bad taste coming out of the bye week after the MNF loss in KC a few weeks ago too. Perusing the rest of the schedule, they have a good chance of getting to 4-4 with the Texans, Saints and Jaguars on deck and then from there what tough games are left will all be at home (i.e. Chiefs, Chargers, Colts, Pats, 49ers, etc) Also let's not forget they made a very strong push last year down the stretch to get in as the final WC team. Could definitely see them finishing 11-6 or 10-7 this year and doing the same thing. 1

While I think it's a tad early to consider most teams out of the playoff picture...I want to play prognosticator sooo... I will say the New Orleans Saints. They have been a pretty banged up team so far this year especially in the WR and now QB room. However the NFC itself is pretty weak. Their division in particular is a cakewalk (Panthers and Falcons and they always give Brady fits). They have a really solid defense and their oline is above average by today's standards. Dennis Allen is doing a much better job running a team this go around as well.
Bills2022
Jaguars. I think they are about to find their footing on their 3 game homestand. I think they beat the Giants, Broncos, and Raiders and I expect them to head to Kansas City and play very tough. They hit the bye at 5-5 and then start beating some good teams. Jaguars are going to be a team nobody wants to play down the stretch.

strive_for_five_guy
I was going to say Arizona or even Cleveland, but both team’s schedules are fairly brutal to try and dig themselves out of the hole they are in. Rc2catch
Just for fun and some possible kudos later on I’m gonna pick Washington. Wentz going down was a blessing. Heineke magic is gonna win them some games and chase Young should come back at some point. And once Heineke starts falling apart they can play the rookie Howell. If I keep throwing poo at the wall something might stick 😂

Bengals and Dolphins in the AFC Hard to find anyone in the NFC other than maybe the Packers since overall the conference is so bad.
Aussie Joe
Hmm… I agree the Raiders are under rated … but looking at that Schedule I don’t think so..

mjd1001
If you are going to say teams below .500, I'll go with the Cards or the Jags. Jacksonville has looked really good or bad this year, but they are improving. Cardinals, they should better than they have been so far. I'm not saying I think either will make the playoffs, but those would be my 2 picks.
billsfanfrom83
I'm going to say Denver Wilson will go down it will be Bret Rypien and their defense that gets them in for a one and done appearance hey it could happen

So Brandt did this early seeding I guess I would go for Bengals in the AFC (replacing the Colts) I'm not sure why the 49ers are ahead of the Seahawks with the same record (H2H?), but my guess would be the Cowboys fade and the Seasnakes make it in. I think they are counting on Dak to come in and play lights-out and take over, but I think he's going to stutter a bit with his hand and by the time he gets it, they'll be out of the race. BillsFanSD
I'm going to say Denver, because it feels like they don't even need to rise to the level of "good" on offense. They just need to find a way to stop being terrible.

At least Buffalo did the honorable thing and released Andre Smith. But we're talking about the Cardinals.
DollaBills
I know its not exactly a popular pick around here but its reasonable NE is a wildcard when all is said and done. Bellicheck kinda feasts on middling squads(and inexperienced/journeyman QBs) and the entire NFL other than like 4 teams are that
Klaus
How about Seattle, the NFC is a bit of a tire fire at the moment so it is anyone's division to claim, throw is the cosmic beauty of Seattle getting into the dance while Denver sits at home..... Everyones all about the Jets right now - the miracle browns win where cleveland should have iced it, Pittsburgh probably should have beaten them, and then that miami beatdown with the 3rd string QB. I like their defense but I have 0 worries about the jets They really do need to win their next 4 games though - Bears, at jets, colts, and home against jets. 3 home games - all 4 winnable. if they do then its winning against Miami (in NE), LVR, and at Arizona and they'd be at 10 wins.
