Straight up a question of QB.

Put JA on the Eagles, they become a juggernaut.

You put Hurts on the Bills, they are less of a winner by two to four games over the course of a season.

I think our D, particularly with Tre back, would close them down.

Where they have been very impressive is with turnovers.  14 takeaways with only 2 giveaways is a great way to pick up close games.

They’re probably kinda close talent wise, so give me the team with the better QB. The Eagles have done a really good job of jumping out to leads but then they just sit on their defense and running game. I don’t believe Hurts can bring that team back if they are down 14+ points and the team knows he has to throw

It is not a sustainable way to win games tho. Ask the 2011 Bills

Also Hurts is projected to have 17 TD passes this year. That needs to improve if they want to be real contenders

Bills would be favored by 7+ vs Eagles at a neutral site

Agree, was just going to post I think Bills would be around a TD favorite against the Eagles.

No argument on any of that.  Their turnover margin (to date) helps explain their current record.

Mahomes doubled his INTs on Sunday and I suspect Hurts would run into the same vs our D.

Not sure Eagles are even 3rd best team.  I do agree they have a solid roster.  I think my top 3 is Buffalo, KC, and then Minn.  I'm still beating the table for the Chargers and think by the end of the year if they can get healthy will be a very tough team to beat.

Agree + 12 in turnover ratio is not sustainable.  I thought Buffalo would be higher but did not realize they have 6 lost fumbles in 6 games. Bills need to clean that up.  Second worst number in the league.

The Eagles are a good team, with lots of talent on both sides of the ball.  Before the season, I fully expected them to win the NFC East and be a sleeper Super Bowl contender (mostly due to a weak conference though).  Jalen Hurts has also taken a big step this season.

With that said, I don't think they have been challenged much in the first six weeks.  Almost every season a surprise team comes out hot with an early winning streak, and fades-off as the season goes on.  Back in 2008, we started 4-0 with Trent Edwards and people were talking about us finally getting our franchise QB.  We ended the season 7-9 and missed the playoffs.

we are gonna get a really good idea of how the bills stack up vs the nfc shortly, GB is meh, but we play minni too, that is gonna be a good measuring stick.

Bills are the #1 team right now. No doubt about it.

The thing that worries me about the Eagles is they always play us hard, and their DLine always takes over the game. Fletcher Cox beat up our entire interior OL all by himself in 2019, and 2015.

I know a lot has changed since those games, but not when it comes to our interior OL getting tougher.

We'll see.

Well we do leave a ton of points on the field. And Frazier can’t close halves.  So I have us at #13 behind the jets.

and our backup QB situation is horrendous!

I mean we have played some of the best DT's in the game already...Jeffery Simmons, Aaron Donald, Chris Jones, Cam Heyward...did any of them kill us?

Bills....the Eagles might be slightly better on D, but our QB is much better

They aren't...they have played a far weaker schedule. Bills are #1 DVOA overall, and on offense and defense.  Last team to do that after 6 weeks were the 2003 TB Buccaneers.  Eagles rank 5th on defense, 5th on offense and 2nd overall, 14.1% behind the Bills.  The gap between us and the 2nd place Eagles is wider than the gap between the 2nd place Eagles and the 6th place Bucs.

There are good DTs all over the league. We played against a bunch of good ones in 2019 as well. More so than anyone else, the Eagles and Fletcher Cox, kicked our asses. It's a bad match up or something. He took over the games in 2015 and 2019. I'm not talking about other DTs. I'm talking specifically about a DT that plays us hard and has had our number.
