zow2 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Is there anyone else in that secondary today besides Johnson and Poyer that would ball hawk like that?!? Just a great, aggressive play by Taron to fly towards the football for the INT. Some of the other younger guys back there seem a little more reactionary...and will tackle the guy after he catches it. Taron and Poyer just go after the ball and it's the difference in a close game yet again. 12 3 2 Quote
Bob in STL Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 It was a big time play and Taron has made big plays before. He is usually underrated. 1 7 1 Quote
John from Riverside Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Don’t want to take away from the Terron love he played great Elam has had two interceptions in two weeks 3 Quote
RocCityRoller Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 He gets beat sometimes, but has a knack for making really big plays like against Pittsburgh, Baltimore, KC (not all this year) etc. He makes 1 or 2 game winning/ game changing plays a season. 1 Quote

He looked great breaking on that ball but the issue was mahommes pump faked in that direction and taron started moving up and then mahommes threw to the same spot he pump faked a second later taron was already well in position and flying towards the spot. Gunsgoodtime Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 So good no one even calls out his position. Always the outside guys, Johnson has the slot on lock down Quote
mrags Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 So….. do we have to donate to his charity now? 5 Quote

Saxum Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 I was planning on getting a Taron Johnson jersey in off-season with Taron on it instread of Johnson due to some bad memories but he changed the number! Taron is probably the best nickle CB in the league. Like Allen and Poyer and Hyde and Milano we are just expecting these terrific plays. Quote

But this little subset of know-it-all fans that think you can move these guys around in the secondary like chess pieces. Taron makes that play because he knows his position, knows it well and plays that position better than pretty much anybody else in the league. Edited October 17, 2022 by JoPoy88 1 1 1 Quote
Mark Vader Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Outstanding play! Thanks to the pressure by Miller & Milano, it looked as if Mahomes never saw Taron Johnson on that play. 1 1 Quote
