Amaru523 Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 A QB needs to do it for more than a couple weeks for me to believe they're special. 2 Quote

(Try not to laugh) but I see a bit of very early Brady in him. Not the goat Brady - the Brady that was more of a game manager in 2001. Patient, calm in the pocket, smart decisions. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mac doesn’t hit the starting rotation again. He is 19/27 for 256 yards and 2 TD’s today. So you see a bit of a guy that is no where near the quarterback he became...got it. I see a young Joe Montana in Tua. See how that sounds? Quote
Scott7975 Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) Zappe is just this years Mac Jones. I actually think he is better than Mac but he is still just an average journeyman QB that looks good behind a well coached team when there isnt much tape on him yet. Mac and Zappe are quarterbacks that will win enough to keep the Pats a mediocre team that wins too much to get better but doesnt win anything meaningful. The Pats are where the Bills were during the drought. Edited October 16, 2022 by Scott7975 Quote
JDubya76 Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 And when there is enough tape to gameplan against him, all the talk will die down. 2 Quote
aristocrat Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Threw for a ton of yards in college. Decent prospect. Quote

Yobogoya! Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 So does this mean the Patriots have not one but TWO quarterbacks among the top 100 players in the NFL?? What an abundance of riches! 1 3 Quote
ndirish1978 Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Happy for you Einstein, glad you got a QB you like. 1 Quote
wppete Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Even if McCorckle comes back healthy I don’t see how you can replace Zapppe. He is a better QB. Quote
TheWeatherMan Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Every QB that plays for the pats is apparently the next Tom Brady 🤦 2 1 Quote
Gunsgoodtime Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 The poster is no Einstein, but I agree the new guy is better than Mac. Not a high bar though considering Mac is one of the worst starting qbs in the Nfl 1 Quote
strive_for_five_guy Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 This has Losman/Edwards QB controversy all over it 2 Quote

Maine-iac Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Patriots defense makes their QB's look better because they keep it close enough the QB's can play safe. We hang a 30 burger on them and see how good he looks when he has to throw 50 times into a defense that knows he's throwing. I just bought tickets for the Thurs. night game in Foxborough and I'm hoping the stadium is half empty by the 3rd quarter because we are killing them. Quote
