Einstein Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I’ve been watching Zappe the last couple of weeks and have been very impressed. (Try not to laugh) but I see a bit of very early Brady in him. Not the goat Brady - the Brady that was more of a game manager in 2001. Patient, calm in the pocket, smart decisions. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mac doesn’t hit the starting rotation again. He is 19/27 for 256 yards and 2 TD’s today. 2 2 7 2 1 11 Quote
Doc Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Sure, if they can keep opponents to under 10 points a game. 2 1 Quote
Scott7975 Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) He aint bad but I see just another journeyman in him to keep the Pats mediocre enough from getting a real QB and not good enough to win anything meaningful. Edited October 16, 2022 by Scott7975 2 Quote
extrahammer Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 He does seem better than Mac Jones from what I've seen. 1 1 Quote

Beast Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I’m sure you were also calling Mac Jones the next great thing like all of a Foxboro was last season. 6 1 3 1 Quote

GunnerBill Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 He is very poised. Mentally I think he is more advanced than Mac 1 2 1 Quote
ChicagoRic Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 He's a serviceable starter for now. It's always interesting to see if a young player can stay productive as the game tape starts to accrue. He does look a bit better than Mac Jones, but can he maintain it. See: Gardner Minshew 2 Quote
Airseven Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Zappe was an intriguing prospect and looks comfortable in his early starts. Lower floor, but he certainly has more upside than Jones. That was a smart pick. Quote
Aurelius Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I watched Zappe’s highlights from last week though. He throws up a ton of underthrown floaters. Not sure how he completes so many of them. Quote
