That's how you beat cover 0

 

For those that don't get it.

 

It's a defense without safety help over the top. A cover 2 divides the field in halves. Cover 3 in 3rds. Single high safety has the single safety choosing which side to cover and if two guys are deep or there is some good routes to expose this single player you see what happens there.

 

For many plays the chiefs are choosing cover 0 leaving them exposed deep and especially to the outside on the corners. 

 

These young corners are matches against big and capable (Davis) and quick footed well disciplined (Diggs). They can't leverage the WR to the inside where CBs are almost always trained to push the WR.

 

This is a big problem at this point going forward for the Chiefs. 

 

They are doing this coverage to bring extra rushing against Josh. They were winning this gamble early on.

Idk man Siren was pretty handsy as well on that 3rd down conversion. They’ve actually been keeping him in check (so far) *knock on wood*
